is this what I need when fitting new stereo? Assume I haven't got active speakers.

I would go with the ebay one.

If it didnt work, I am sure you would get your money back but no reason at all why it wouldnt.

Its possible you may need an aerial adaptor plug to connect to a new head unit but I did mine so long ago I cant remember.

You will quickly want to change your speakers from stock too.

Have a search around about that as lots of previous threads about that and sound deadening a little while you have the door cards off.

If you dont listen to the radio much then you may want to look at the window switch mod to be able to switch the auto aerial off when not needed.
