As the titles states any experience is welcomed :)
I wouldn't say it's worth doing it's a very basic unit by today's standard and many aftermarket head units would be better.
Saying that I've been told it's plug and play to get the unit working for basic functions and you would need the gps module for the sat Nav to work
As said above, you can buy the sat nav module and add it. I think I saw one on ebay for £200 a while ago. But as said, most people dont bother due to the quality of the head unit.
