It has a Proximity Sensor on it, It worked fine in the Workshop, but now home, its not as sensitive, so I need to adjust it, the shop is now closed, I`m inpatiant , so does anyone know how to do it??

The manual says, get the fitter to do it, I know it an easy job(do it using a couple of buttons on dash) So HELP!!

No i dont know how to do it without the software - just remembered that i paid to have an additional port installed so i could access the system, not sure if you can do it without easily.

How do i rate the alarm... well my car never got nicked put it that way!   s:wink:  s:wink:  Nah, i was well happy with it - some people dont like them but i never had any problems with it. I had it on my Escort Si.

No Kris - thats why it never got nicked  s;) ;) s;)   s:lol:  s:lol:

Just dug out the manual for my old Concept 300 - the only mentions of the proximity sensors/microwave sensors are for disabling them.. I remember from mine that the sensitivity (both on the internal Clifford microwave sensor and external proximity warning sensor) was set by a small potentiometer that you turned with a jewellers screwdriver..

There wasn't anything in my Concept 600 manual on sensitivity either (and that was installed last August in the 300), pretty sure that was set up the same way..

If I were you, I wouldn't mess with it - I say that for the simple reason that after my first 300 was broken into (with the Concept 300 in it), and I had to reset the sensors myself, it never worked properly - everything set the damned thing off..  s:evil:  s:evil:  My Concept 600, on the other hand, that's only ever been touched by an installer, is fine.. (Well, the battery on the car is flat and it's in valet mode right now, but..  s:D :D s:D  Slightly worried that I seem to have lost the manual, though!  s:eek:  s:eek:  )

The US site has manuals in PDF format for US *and* UK systems. There's a reference to the '50x' (one for the US, another for the UK) which 'might' be for the 500-series..? Perhaps you can make it out better...

I've got the Concept 300 too... about 6 months in the alarm went off.. and then wouldn't turn off until the Siren completely died!

Had it replaced under their warranty, so no worries for another couple of years ... but last week I accidentally unlocked the doors with the Key remote while it was still armed - and the siren is buggered again!

It's working, but more like whisper, so obviously something has gone wrong again... Doh!

I had the blips turned off as they were too loud for my driveway late at night, and it was a pain to have to press 2 buttons on the remote at the same time - hence I didn't notice until now! Lucky no-one tried to steal it...  s:roll:  s:roll:

Oh, point of this post.. Other than the above problems, I've been very happy with it!

Does not sound like too clever a unit to me with the issues you have highlighted. In this day and age electronics should be pretty reliable and robust   s:shock:  s:shock:
