I have seen How-to's of how to do the aerial mod, but didn't see pics etc when i was looking around yesterday..
So I thought of taking some pics while i'm at it..
-I have a pioneer head unit in a pre-facelift 02 reg
-I decided to use another switch and leave the passenger disable switch for its intended purpose (I use it occasionally). lol

The "remote wire", which is blue, controls the aerial (in my case) . This blue wire is found in the adapter which came with the Head unit.. I would guess its in the "Pioneer to ISO connector", and NOT in the "toyota to ISO"....

It came with the head unit, and has a connector in the middle.

Its the blue wire on the right in the pic

Next, I connected 2 different wires to each end.

I used a different switch I got from my drawer   s:D :D s:D   to use as the aerial switch...
I decided to put my switch in the slot on the left of the steering.. So, I had to pass the wires through the hole first, then connected both wires to the 2 terminals on the switch..

And finally plug the switch in the left hand side of the steering, in one of the 2 empty slots.. Test it before putting it in to know the right way up

And finally here's the Head unit.. Ipod compatible via USB..

My Next task: make a good surround for that ugly switch
