Taking out the old stereo

Hi
Can someone tell me how to take the old stereo out please, i took the trim off on the coloumns and around the heater dials although how do u get the slider knob off?
Once i had all this off i could get to one of the screws to undo and take the stereo out but the top two i cant get to because they are behind the sorround so can someone please tell me how i take it all off. Thanks

The surround comes off, you just have to pull it.........hard. Once that off you can get to the rest of the screws.

When i did mine (on an 03) I managed to remove to remove the front of the stereo with the surround   s:? :? s:?    s:) s:)  

Not to worry though, it just pushes back on!

Not sure if its the same with the stock sony jobbie.

Same method for the slider, just pull it. It will come off and go back on.
