JOBD Reader

Hi Folks,

Long time since I frequented this board - my MR2 went off to pastures new   s:( s:(  

We have a Nissan Cube at the moment - JDM, imported this year.  Sadly, it threw it's first CEL - and my OBD-II reader didn't work as it uses JOBD.  Having searched around online, I found a Nissan 350Z forum where someone recommended a cheap reader that worked.  I bought one on eBay from a Hong Kong seller, it took a week to arrive and read the code on the Cube.  It has a drop down for manufacturers and Toyota is listed, so I thought I'd mention it here in case reading MR-S CELs was still an issue.

Just taken delivery of the Obdmate OM500 reader and I can confirm it is compatible with the Import MRS.
Paid £40.00 from a UK supplier via EBay although it can be had a little cheaper from abroad with the risk of import duties.
I know the paperclip method is free but at this low price I think its worth the investment for ease of use.
