Alarm Key

Hi guys,

I've a query I'd appreciate your advice on.

I currently have two keys: a grey valet key and a master key (I hope!). I want a spare alarm key but don't want to pay £100+ for the privilege. My understanding of the solution to avoid this cost is: buy an old fob off ebay and reprogramme it, buy a new shell and get a Toy41 blade cut. I'm fine with this and the method of reprogramming seems relatively straightforward (I'll probably regret that comment), however when searching through the posts on this forum can't find confirmation for two questions:

-Can I buy any two button Toyota key fob to programme? At the moment I'm looking on ebay for an inner that's grey on the battery side like my current master, however would any inner work?
-How does all this impact the transponder? Will it sync when I programme the alarm?

The inner must match yours.

Once coded to the car as per instructions everything should work fine.
