new head unit

looking at replacing my head unit.
would like a ipod compatible model such as the alpine 9847r
would this still operate my electric ariel?

my alpine still does and its an older model to that, only problem with the Alpine ipod interfaces are that they are a nightmare to find the songs you want, i'd suggest you have a play before you buy as i'd never buy one again, go for Dension
