So in my work today I managed to break what appears to be a grounding plug on the left side of the block.

I can totally just strip back the wire and add some length to it and ground it at another point, but is there a more professional way to do it?

You could order another plug from a breaker, then de-pin the existing plug and fit the new one.

Thanks I looked up depinning, tried and failed at it on this plug but noticed that I had a bit of wire remaining if I took out the rubber bung.

E voila! 1x fixed plug ready to re-integrate into the loom  :)
