Both good options and they state the cca's which not many do.
Was looking to see if I could get a tidy one for around £100 to £120.
I see a few called eco-worthy that look OK but not sure if they are good enough for the job.

Took the car out for a slightly more spirited (slightly higher revs - nothing major, think it hit 3200 rpm) drive up and down the hill.
Still only get heat when driving the car - I'm honestly not worried about it as it'll clear itself eventually, I'm just keeping an eye on the coolant.

Car is in dire need of alignment (possibly due to coming off jack stands.. not sure). But the way I'm looking at it, I think it's pretty much ready for the mapping day! :-)

Apart from this - I'm looking at tyres.
Last time round I went with the Toyo Proxes TR1s and whilst there were cost benefits, particularly when I had a spate of punctures, I did regret not going for the AD08s.

This time round I've started looking at the AD08RS series but am a bit concerned at the handling in our wet and cold climate.. and now I'm considering the Fleva.

I'm honestly unlikely to get this thing on a track, and I'm keen to have really good grip in most weather conditions, and am now looking to have more power shortly.

Is the Fleva the next one down from the AD08RS or is there something else that has a stiffer side wall but better water and cold handling than the AD08RS?

I have one of these: https://www.tayna.co.uk/motorcycle-batteries/exide/eltx20h-bs/

Used it for a couple of years without problems. I have aircon but no stereo and I use a battery isolator if I'm not using the car for more than a couple of days after the alarm drain killed off 3 lead-acid batteries. I bought a Ctek lithium charger for topping up over the winter as the standard type can apparently cause problems.

The battery is so much smaller that I had to buy a new clamp with shorter rods to hold it in.

I ordered this back in Dec 2021.

No issues what so ever, I used the car as a daily commute all fine. When left for a while it will go flat, but then it's fully charged in what appears to be less than an hour using the charger.

In terms of weight reduction/cost there is unlikely to be anything else on the car that comes close.

a creative search should bring up quite a bit Jared.

My 7 y.o. mini lifepo is still doing great btw.
Well, it wás, I hope will be  :-*   Disconnected it three weeks ago and fingers crossed it will start the engine in about a week.
If it gives up, will buy the same or equivalent again.

Hi all, been trying to get more info on lithium batteries but it's hard to get info on which size (power more than dimensions) is best for the mr2.
I like the idea of less weight and found a few that are getting better price wise.
Not doing a track stuff just fun daily driver but as need it to get back and forth to work don't want any starting issues or need to put it on trickle charge things like that.
Any ideas / suggestions guys.

By Jove  :o
Just drove Esmeralda to my morning coffee with croissant, Giacomo in the back.
What an effort but a lót more comfortable than in the passenger seat try soaking up all the bumps and movements.
The way recovery is jumping forward daily, will drive Belle next weekend!!

I've just done my shocks springs top mounts and drop links. KYB and standard springs. Makes a huge difference a complete refresh after a geo setup
