Title: Injectors
Post by: Mark A on February 18, 2016, 17:26
Does anybody know which injectors fit a 1ZZ, I'm looking for some cheap alternatives for my turbo project. I've heard people mention Astra injectors and Siemens 630cc but not sure if they all fit, is there a direct replacement with extra capacity over the standard injectors, I want to run close to 240 bhp.

I have some "white giants" available that I removed from my hazz turbo kitted car.. I don't know the spec of them but believe they'll cover 240hp. I can probably provide part number if needed. if you find out they're any good (I think the electrical connector needs changing but physically they fit) then just let me know.

PM mattperformance he can tell you what he fitted to the sp240 kit.
I think theyre 440 but no idea of make or model.
Monkeywrench to direct replacements not sure on cost.

Mattperformance had some Siemens 630cc for sale a while ago and that's why I've been looking for 630s. I've seen a couple of sets for not much money so might just take a punt, I think I'll need to change connectors but can't be hard!

Connectors need to be changed, but small spade connectors will also work. Also anything 440cc will be fine on stock pump and rail.

Someone told me to try acura rdx injectors, Which are 410cc. The body is ev6 and the connector should be the same. If you try can you let me know if they fit? I cant source those locally sadly so.. its hard for me to try.. let me know please

Does anybody know the dimensions of MR2 injectors? I have a set of spare Denso Subaru top feed injectors which look similar in size to the MR2 ones

stock injectors are 260cc. 14 ohm
73mm tall
10mm rail OD
16mm Body
13.2 head OD
10mm pintlecap
10mm head port OD

Thank you I'll be back shortly with STi measurements

Very similar

60mm tall
10mm rail od
17mm Body
10mm head
I might have another measure tonight and see if some collars could be made, I think it's much harder with narrow top feeds. The easier option is to identify the exact spec of the MWR Siemens 630 injectors that could be sourced in the UK.

So I've RE-read your post and I think I'm looking for Siemens deka 630 cc HN EV6 injectors.

Can anybody tell me which connectors are on my current Injectors, I think they are Denso but can't work out if only one type of connector exists?

I am sure I read somewhere that the vauxhall astra vxr Injectors fit and are cheap as chips. Worth a punt.

Think they are 470cc though. Good for 300bhp I would imagine

Yep, found a good UK source for £148inc for 4x flow matched etc, just need to get the right plug and play adapters hence the question about the current injectors plug

Didn't realise they had a different plug.  I read somewhere that they just need trimming and the plug fits. Just can't remember where i read it lol!

Siemans 630 injectors go for 184 on ebay The VXR Astra ones fit but arnt 630. If your thinking of using the Subaru injectors then you could always make the fuel rail spacers shorter.

Quote from: "stupink"Inectors arrived last night, so today I have fitted them..  I did a bit of research and came up with 470cc Astra VXR injectors for £80 deliered (second hand), they come up ALLLL the time for that sort of price, are near as damnit a direct fit replacement for my white giants (already got the loom modified for them).

Essentially the top had a bit too much plastic for the retaining clip on the VXR, so I' trimmed them down.. all in place and running nicely now  s:) :) s:)   Great price for a set of bosch injectors, and worthwhile considering anyone who's upgrading, a good flow size and a good genuine bosch injector for the price  s:) :) s:)

Just trimmed with a stanley blade, not difficult the plastic is quite soft.

That's the post I saw! Looks like a good idea. I will do that if the 2zz injectors don't suffice

Does anybody have a picture of a standard MR2 roadster injector, I need a view of the plug on the injector urgently.

Cheers Mark

These turned up today, the adapters look wrong but might be both male and female connectors in one.

How much were they? are they 630cc?

The adapter will be: Black Plugs into Injector, Grey acts as plug (Toyota Injector) for Injector plugs in bay.

Yep I was being thick thinking the grey adapter fitted into the Denso injectors, but it fits the loom so the connectors are all OK.

Yes Siemens Deka 630cc injectors priced at £169 with delivery and the P&P adapters.

That's them, I sent him a picture of the green Mr2 injector and he did the rest, give him a ring and just ask for the same as a Mark's MR2 turbo

Thread resurrection but hopefully your still on here, ive been trying to get some adaptors like these from fuel performance but the ones they sent are different on the loom side for a different type of Denso fitting, they are now telling me they cant supply the one for our cars which is annoying!, I can make them by soldering plugs onto loom but was hoping not to have to do that, just wondered if yours worked out ok ?

Thanks
Ian

I got some loom adaptors that where slightly wrong. I 'asjusted' them with a dremel. I'll see if I can dig out the order from ebay.

That would be appreciated thanks bud :), probably same as ones I got sent and I would of had a look at modifying  myself but they said to return so I stupidly presumed this meant they had the correct ones, got back from dropping them off at post office today to find a message saying they haven't anything suitable!

P1ssed off to say the least as even if I couldn't of modified them to plug in to loom I could of cut the bosch connectors off and soldered them on, I was very disappointed as I checked with them before buying explaining which car and which injectors I had etc and they said they were correct ones, today he says he has never seen a MR2 with these type of connectors! so I told them all 1zz and 2zz equipped cars use this type and they are meant to be specialists but clearly guy I dealt with had no clue and takes forever to reply hence posting them back before I got a reply, not impressed as you can probably tell :D

These are what I used, had to trim the part that fits onto the loom.

Injector side was fine.

And these were the injectors.

Thanks for that i never thought of using a non-denso fitting on harness side, will get measuring up, still not heard back from FP about possible solutions as even if they send me the bosch fitting on pigtails i can then splice them in, although  getting them to send same as yours is the key was there a lot of modding to get fit loom ? and do they fit nice and tight ?

Ive found a place in Australia that might do a perfect pnp just waiting to hear back
