My car seems to be a little slow warming up so I was contemplating changing the thermostat. Looked it up online, what a ball-ache that is! Think I'll wait until I replace the coolant with waterless and do it then.  :))

Call the midlife!

Apart from the refilling and bleeding of the system it's not all that difficult when underneath the car.
For reasons best left unsaid I did mine 3 times lying on the garage floor...
60% of the time it works everytime...

@Pete McCue

Is it especially long to warm up?
Might be normal.

With this layout there is approx 9 litres to warm up.

They do take a while.

Oh, maybe normal then. I guess that maybe why Toyota fitted the pre-cats? I'm used to my Z3 wich warms up really quickly.

Don't think so. Just down to exhaust temperatures.
At the moment mine's 2 1/2 to 3 miles until the needle is horizontal.  If you use a smartphone & Torque pro you can see the temp changing in realtime.

Same as ^^^^

2.5 3 miles to temp gauge needle at horizontal.

Then doesn't move at all despite data in torque pro showing otherwise.

In case anyone is wondering, if things go amiss, the gauge needle does go up beyond horizontal PDQ. Ask me how I know!

Totally get that. I had the same issue with my old car—took forever to warm up, and changing the thermostat was such a pain. Ended up waiting until I needed to swap the coolant anyway, and did it all in one go. Saved me the headache of messing with it twice.
