Wow, just wow!
I've always used iridium plugs in my cars if they are available, but I've never known such an improvement over stock NGK v-groove plugs. So smooooooth.

If there was a marked difference, word would have spread.  What's more likely is one or more of your old plugs was failing.

Nope, don't think so. I've done about 800 miles since buying the car and thought it was running sweet as a nut, never missed a beat but the iridium plugs improved it. Actually, the Toyota service manual states that the engines should have iridium plugs fitted as standard.

If you can tell the difference between a good running engine on normal plugs and iridium plugs, you'd be the first person I've literally ever heard of to be able to do that in 25 years.

The Occam's razor suggests placebo os the most likely outcome.
