Resistor Type Spark Plugs

Hello all,

I might be being very naive here, so please forgive me if I'm asking a stupid question haha!
I've tried researching online with no luck so far, so figured I'd ask the experts.

This is something that I came across today while browsing for parts online - I've never heard of "resistor-type" spark plugs before, with a graphite or glass resistor inside - apparently they act as something of a spark suppressor to help the engine run smoother?

Anyway, the reason I ask is that I'm chasing down a rough idle, and I've seen it mentioned that import cars (like my MR-S) may have shipped with V-Power resistor-type plugs, and by not using them in cars that require them, you can have "rough idling, high-rpm misfire, and abnormal combustion."

Can anyone confirm if this is the case? I'm currently running NGK BKR5E-11 copper plugs. I've heard of iridium, platinum etc, just not these.

You are using the correct plugs for the car.  They are resistor plugs.

I think (based on your previous posts) you need to change the O2 sensor on bank 1.
