TTE exhaust.

I have no problem with my standard exhaust but I fancy a twin exit look so I have picked up a TTE but before fitting I want to source all new gaskets and clamps, if a jobs worth doing its worth doing well

Which if any of these two gaskets are correct for cat to back box ? (TIA).

The one on the left from ebay and the one on the right MR2-Ben, profile and size differ a great deal.

A side from gaskets. Did it come complete with the extra support bracket for the right hand side pipe?

The two metal O ring gaskets that sit between the box and the pipes has recently  been discussed here along with the V band clamps.

The parts I posted above are to replace those. Either part is fine as they are pretty much identical.
Your original ones look like they'll clean up fine though, unless they are eaten away?

Clamps came today, great service.

Would it help preserve the clamps if given a coat of Bilt Hamber before fitting ?

Look like they would stand up well, but a bit if Bilt wouldn't hurt.

In my experience any supplementary finish applied to a plated ( in this case zinc) surface will deteriorate and flake off.
I knew not why but with the aid of the www I found this:
When you apply an alkyd oil-based paint over zinc plated or galvanized surfaces, a chemical reaction occurs between the two materials. This process, known as saponification, causes a build-up between the zinc surface and the coating. Over time, this can cause the coating to release from the surface. It is possible to paint galvanized surfaces with an oil-based system, however a water-based system will need to be applied as an intermediary coat.

I suppose its a bit of shiny that won't be seen    a dab of copper slip on the threads will have to suffice.

Autogem gaskets arrived today, offered them up and they look as thought they will do the job fine.

Sizes and shape differ a little from the original but everyone seems to think these are fine so all good

OEM: 65.50mm OD X 53.00mm ID X 13.40mm thick (angled sides)

AUT: 66.25mm OD X 50.50mm ID X 10.00mm thick (radius sides)

I did but i'm replacing all the gaskets so thought it may be of use to others ? really sorry for the confusion

Re the cat to silencer gasket I would think the more tapered one would fit best. The one I got was more like the fatter one and, although it seals ok, it doesn't seem to crush enough and I would rather the two flanges sat a bit closer together.
