Ticking/Knocking sound after aux belt replacement

Hey all,

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions on this one! Last night my auxiliary belt exploded and I definitely drove it further than I should've. She got a little hot, lost a bit of coolant.

Today the belt has been replaced. She gets to temp, doesn't overheat, drives fine honestly. However there is this noise while idling:

The vid isn't great but the noise doesn't seem to ramp up while revving, it seems steady. Any suggestions?

Also, the noise doesn't seem to happen before the car gets to temp, and there's no indication of oil and water mixing (can't see any milky stuff on coolant or in oil cap. Oil literally 2 days old and still looks clean).

If it's not changing with RPM I think you can relax.

Could be the heat shield on the cat are something else that got smacked by the broken belt and is now rattling.

Thanks Carolyn. That's what's keeping my hope up for now. Will try to get under it and do more research tomorrow.

I can see the VSV has a vacuum hose unhooked (the little blue thing with red ports on it near to the oil cap), that's almost certainly making the puffing noise if that's what you mean?

I think you nailed it, thanks for pointing this out! Plugged that hose in and the noise isn't there from cold, after getting to temp and after driving 75 miles so I guess that was it. She felt great throughout the drive. Still a bit hesitant to rev her past 4k RPM but getting there!
