Thanks all for the help and advice. I gave up trying to remove it and swapped on my other deckled with the Veilside spoiler. Seems to be held on with 4 screws, two of which I can't get to at all - suspect it may have been factory fitted but who knows now!

General / Charcoal cannister pipe firewa...
Last post by Monkey Relish - Today at 08:29
Hi all,

I designed these unobtaneum clips that hold the charcoal canister pipe on the firewall welded studs.
Mine broke when removing the pipe, and they are not available from Toyota.
Printed out of Nylon to handle the engine bay temps.
Free to anyone who wants to print and sell these.
Hope this helps someone.

Here is the link to the files for the replacement clip.

Anóther classic vehicles event  ;)

In Jarzamin; outskirts of east Málaga. Weird, almost post apocalyptic hood but the auto-organizing appearent chaos is
The access and feria grounds are dirt so fitted the home made tonneau on the MR2 Spyder.

Charming company was again 8-)
Needs no offers; is simply always game.
Great route driving down, incorporating the A-7000 over which last week the Rally Subida a Colmenar (Montes de Málaga) was held. I drift my little RWD mid engined cabrio up there with gusto and she is all smiles.

At lunch we were talking, joking; you know routine stuff; cars, dresses, sex, vespas and she among other crackers observed ´You go buy another Vespa, I´ll buy another dress...´

Below some photos.
The Terrot is a model FGT made from 1926-29. Thís one already has a clutch but still a belt. It makes you realise how advanced the Nimbus was.
Here a gem of a quote from a véry good and knowledgable write up:
Consequently, the rest of the vintage/antique motorcycling community doesn't regard the model C as a "real" vintage bike, as ownership of one seems to lack the crucial element of masochism so dear to many old bike enthusiasts.

On the way back had a scary moment. Was nailing a particular nice long uphill bend and WHÁCK, clatter, cluck, dingdingding and something bouncing behind the car on then off the road into the depth at the side. Car behaved as if nothing had happened.Stopped first opportunity. Had lost the front number plate. Phew....

Quote from: steve807 on June 21, 2025, 13:21Great job @Craigjm, looking really good! I am a Sable Grey fan but this shows that these cars look fantastic in any colour if they are cared for and presented as well yours is  ;)

Thanks. It's better than spending a grand on a PCP every month for sure so the modern daily has gone back so why not spend a bit. What's left to do now is the audio system, the new JR29 white wheels and the seats are being retimed in a tan colour with some free leather I got as part of buying the leather for my Classic Mini project.

But then and get someone else to do it haha

Quote from: thetyrant on June 20, 2025, 21:42Quick test I did between runs before removing was just take 1 rear drop link end off which renders bar inactive quickly and easily, found it much easier to stop over rotating after that, I ran stock bar at end as a compromise because i was doing trackdays as well.

Good plan - I'll bear that in mind, cheers

Quote from: Craigjm on June 20, 2025, 17:54Car is just back from a full respray. Really happy with that. Also now has a full on mohair hood from soft top shop in Manchester and renewed suspension and brakes including refurbed and painted calipers.

When being reaprayed I fitted new headlights and fog lights too as the old ones even polished looked crap.

Next job is the audio and some new wheels and then there will be some interior bits
