Who me?

No, that's the office, it's part of some converted stables in the middle of a country park.  Very nice place to work. View out of the window (http://www.compsoc.man.ac.uk/~phil4/pics/officewindow.jpg) is fantastic in the summer (like now).

Yeah...true.

Although on Sunday coming back from Colechester, a Fiesta did!.

A complete idiot decided to pull out of a slow moving (10mph) lane right in my path as I was doing around 40-50....another case for the ABS!....the fiesta luckly was giving plenty of distance, and luckly he saw the prick in front of me...I on the other hand did not have much reaction time.

I love the 2! ... especially those breaks!

I love the juggling act of trying to stop in front of that car that pulls out, while simultaneously using the rearview to stop slowly enough that the car behind doesn't run into you.  Done that too many times and survived.

As most of you know I have only been driving a year!!!!  I have had a lot of good advice from people here and reading roadcraft.  I had never felt ABS before, but twice now have used it with pricks pulling out in front of me.  This time, I managed to hammer the pedal, whilst looking in the mirror at the fiesta (who I knew the distance) and then also pulled partly into the gap that the "prick" had left when he pull out.  I could not believe how close it was, surprisingly my passenger thought it was handled very well!.  So thanks for all who told me to test what ABS was like and to teach me to actually steer around trouble when breaking!.

I didn't.  If I had, I'd have got you some green 'L's  s:) :) s:)   I did the IAM thingy (most of which is based on roadcraft) six months after I'd passed my test.  Views may differ as to whether the IAM stuff is the right stuff, but IMHO it's better than just the basic test.

You managed to factor in to that balance leaning on your horn as hard and long as you can?  Once you can do that you are truly ready to leave the dojo.

Already done...it's just a simple saver that shows pics from certain dir, so I just need to change the dir/pics in it to "make it". It stretches/shrinks every pic to desktop resolution, so bigger would be better...so please do send it to me  s:) :) s:)  ( e tem@fintoys.net e , thanks)

Which reminds me that it looks nice when it's clean.  Not got many good pics of it yet though  s:( :( s:(

...and my other toy (No Toyoda content):

Carbs: pops, bangs and fire.  We like carbs a lot (though we're not so keen on the mpg):

It looks like this now (sadly the green one has been sold, a crying shame as it was absolutely spot on but it was the most sellable of the two being still perfectly useable as a road car):

More of my baby.  Bad pictures as it hasn't been out since the last round of modifications (ditched the screen, wipers, washers, wiper motor, doors, some under bonnet changes like all new silicone hosing and wotnot, new repackable silencer and a switched back to the K&N's in an effort to quieten it down):

I'd better stop now before I piss you all off with Westfield pictures...  What, one more?  ok then   s:wink:  s:wink:

I'll behave now...

Sorry  to run this thread a little off topic, but can I ask Juansolo what engine he has in the Westfield?

Looks a nicely prepared car....

Locaterfields are the Bees-Knees for trackday fun....

I recently sold my 2.0 16v Vauxhall engined Caterham 7 and that was a right hooligan of a vehicle on track.....definitely required total respect in the wet!!

I am hoping that in Jan 05 when we have the choice of giving the car back or paying £7k, we will have such low milage that we can buy for £7k and sell for a profit in order to upgrade.  Looks like we are heading for around 12-15k on the clock by then!
