Title: £150
Post by: Peter Laborne on November 14, 2003, 16:30
Ok folks, you have £150 (or a max of £170 at a push) to spend on your 2.

What do you buy?

Im not. Thats what so upsetting. Fuel in Germany is now circa EUR 1.10 per litre. Thats about UKP 3.50 per gallon if my maths is correct.

I'm keeping quite for the next couple of weeks. Just need to sort a few final things out.

But back to the question......if I handed you £150 and said spend it on your car (but not fuel, oil, tyres or anything silly like that), what would you buy?

Some sort of strut or stiffening bar.

Problem is I'd need to use some of it pay for the insurance....

Me personally, a set of Focal speakers to replace the stock ones for and spend the rest (if any) on a chinese take away and some cheap plonk pretending to the missus that I'd picked up some bargain speakers for £30   s8) 8) s8)

....or I'd keep saving for a leather retrim.

B&M short shifter.

As half the fun of this car is changing gear, and it's such a tactile experience. I'd rate it as the best mod for that amount of money.

fingers crossed the cars back soon.

I've now got everything I want on my car, but if I was stock, I'd say quickshifter, audio upgrade or FSB - those made the biggest differences IMO.

*shrugs*  I'd pocket it.  There really isn't anything I want for the Mr2.

*thinks*

Maybe some touch up paint...

Must get around to getting some at some point.

...and it really needs a wash,  so probably a pro-valet.

even cheaper now from HMS Motorsport in the US. They even give 10% discount if you mention Spyderchat on your order. Only snag is they only deliver to US addresses which complicates things.
