Title: interior rear view mirror - blind spot ?
Post by: Anonymous on January 1, 2004, 13:24
Has anyone replaced or considered replacing the oem rear view mirror with a smaller version?  I only ask as I find the a few blind spots on bends/turns with the mirror being lowly located?

This thread; Useful Mirror Tip (http://www.mr2roc.org/viewtopic.php?t=795&highlight=mirror); may help if you find the mirror obstructive.

Personally, I don't have a problem with it, but them I'm a short pants anyway.  Biggest blind spot I find is over my right shoulder with the soft top up.  When you have a quick 'lifesaver' look behind before pulling out/overtaking you just get a faceful of black hood material.  Fortunately I prefer to drive with the top down (when the hardtop's not on  s;-) ;-) s;-)  )
