Big thanks to Russ (UKtotty) for coming out with us in the pouring rain to check her out and adding that necessary dose of sanity for double checking things.
First job is done, cleaning out the drains!!! Have you still got that picture Russ?
That's lovely mate I love them in yellow
Looks nice in yellow mate!
Great to see you back s:D :D s:D
Janspeed? Cat? I love the sound of that exhaust!
Lovely, don't see many in yellow and that exhaust does look great.
Yup, Janspeed exhaust with a sports cat.
Oh the noise, such a big smile on my face from the rumbly idles to full chat bwarps. Love it!! :-) :-) :-)
Good to have you back mate. Pleased for you s:) :) s:)

Ah so you did get that one s:) :) s:) Nice find hope it does you well.
Great looking car!
There is one thing I've picked up on. You used the words Russ and sanity in the same sentence. Is that right? s;-) ;-) s;-)

The miningest drains ever!
The REALLY bad clearance on the wheels which were 40mm over sized!
I don't even want to know what that is coming out of those drains! Urrghh
Dear Lord that look hideous! (the drains!)
I'd just stick some standard wheels on there personally, stick with anthracite or black though
Quote from: "AckersMR2"I don't even want to know what that is coming out of those drains! Urrghh
The smell was awful! s:cry:  s:cry:
If the smell ever made its way to the occupants, I think I would be clearing up chunks off the dashboard!

Daresay Vikface will be envious - she loved her "yellow" but was ripped off by Cowboy dealer and ended with a mare of an engine!!
Thanks for reminding me about the dreaded drain job Ive got to attempt soon s:( :( s:(
Its not so bad. I was a little unsure, especially about losing the clips.
I can recommend 2 of you doing it to help with this. One to use the screwdriver and one to get their fingers behind the trim. :-) :-) :-)
Noted... s:D :D s:D
Wide wood chisel wrapped in duct tape just to lift the edge enough to get fingers in. Remember one clip is in the middle, so just above middle is best I recon.
The car came with nearly all the necessary parts for getting the hardtop installed. Was just missing the rear chrome brackets, ordered them from CTP on here and after a lil delay, they turned up this morning.
So here we are, my banana with a black top

Quote from: "AckersMR2"Hmmm black mirrors and black widescreen frame perhaps?
When the hardtop is on I agree that a black surround would look great. For me though it comes back down to this whole thing of how it looks when the hard top isn't on. In that instance as much yellow as possible is a must!
I like looking over at my yellow mirrors as I am going along, they make me smile :-) :-) :-)
Soft top is black too though. Black surround looks awesome imho

As there are not many yellow ones, I am guessing that might well have been you parked on Vicky Park Road in Leicester at about 4.30pm this afternoon !
Wasn't me today. Was over the other side of Warwickshire today :-) :-) :-)
Nice cup.
Do you have a pet name for your car, Stu? Just curious.
Usually, she is referred to as either the 'banana' or simply the '2'

For some reason I imagine your car literally smelling of bananas. Inserts look great. Such a unique-looking 2, that.
Actually the polish I was using today is coconut scented!! s:lol:  s:lol:

What's that sticker say mate?
It's in 2 parts.
Big letters say:
"Stu and Tolly on tour - Paris or bust."
The small letters at the bottom say:
"No hairdressing equipment left in vehicle overnight."
Then on one end is some scissors with a line through them. Then on the other end the same but with a comb. :-) :-) :-)
Lol legend
Stu.. you need this in your life. . Excuse the rubbish quality I did it on my phone
(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/01/22/emereny7.jpg)
I think it will tie the back end in nicely to the hardtop and give more purpose to the inserts mate. It's something I've always liked about the rear of mine as it's kind of a diffuser style look if that makes sense?

As long as I don't have to take the bumper off do wrap/plasticote it then it may well be an option for the summer. :-) :-) :-)
Lovin the yellow and looks even better with the black hardtop!! Defo like the black windscreen surround/mirrors idea!
I say do the surround black stu. It will still look awesome with the soft top on. It was my first ever mod doing mine black and never looks out of place no matter what colour car you have. If you are thinking of mirrors I have a great condition set sat here s;) ;) s;) there green but at least you can swap them back over if you have 2 sets lol

Note the small shoulder of inner side wall that still remains. So I asked them to double check the geometry just for piece of mind.

You can see that my tracking on the nearside front is out. However, the offside tyre as shown above is starting to go in the same way, just not as serious. So it has all been reset now. :-) :-) :-)
I also double checked my offsets as I had forgotten them. I am running at ET40, so 5mm under stock.
Got myself a MattBrace fitted today. Happy days. :-) :-) :-)
Looks like I'll need to sort the geo out on my nearside, it's wearing faster but not as bad as yours!

Yes, I made sure I bought it at the same time.
I was impressed how quickly the xerapol brought up the lights actually.
Aii seems to be some good products out there.

95k, time for a clutch change.
Ordered:
Clutch kit from Camskill (£85 del.)
2 litres of MT90 from Opie Oils (used 1.75l £32 del.)
some service and 'just in case 'parts from GSP (hub nut, snap ring, trans oil service kit)
Loadswine led the whole change over on my drive. Happy days... not sure I'd have the strength to do another one! s:lol:  s:lol:
Did you replace the original clutch?
Not sure Steve. I had the car from 70k ish and have had her grin just over 2 years. Nothing in the paperwork to suggest is been done. So it is possible it was the original one. Deffo feels way better. :-) :-) :-)
(http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb158/StueyC07/MR2%20Banana/Exhaust/DSC_0020.jpg) (http://s204.photobucket.com/user/StueyC07/media/MR2%20Banana/Exhaust/DSC_0020.jpg.html)
Whilst we were changing the clutch we noticed that my exhaust flexi was looking a bit ropey. So I took it to have it repaired. They also swapped over one of the amigos as it was different to the others.
Everything is back together now and happy. s:-D :-D s:-D
Nice. That a fairly new crossmember in there too?
It does look fresh
Was changed earlier in the year by Matt. It had the full works on it, rusteze, powdercoating and waxoil.
Actually with matt having done that it made some of the fixings a little easier. We still had plenty of difficult fixings though. s:lol:  s:lol:
Mine would be a doddle, the number if times he's had it in bits s:lol:  s:lol: He did my clutch and a new waxoyled crossmember about 3.5k miles ago, so should be good for a while yet.
I'd say your are set for a bit it least. :-) :-) :-)
MOT passed today with flying colours. Well done banana.
Also a new set of T1-R's on the rear. I was going to go for a set of falken 452's with a 225/35/17 flavour, but they don't do the fronts in a matching size. One day I will have matching tyres!! s:lol:  s:lol:

There was a yellow with hardtop for sale when I was looking for banana. There is something that doesn't sit right with me with respect to the body coloured hardtop. Not been able to put my finger on it though. s:lol:  s:lol:
For the headlamps I used armour uv sealant.

Paul
No worries. s:-D :-D s:-D
Banana went in for rear pads and discs (pagid). She had one seized caliper and one sticky one. So replaced both whilst it was all apart. Also had the fluid changed too as it has been over 2 years.
Does that mean your back on the road?
Indeed it does. s:-D :-D s:-D
Just been out to the garage to do some jobs and realised that I don't have space for the hardtop. s:-( :-( s:-(
Love that colour. I think both versions look great, yellow and black roof vs yellow and yellow roof. Yellow with black roof with A pillars painted in black would potentially look really good. I actually fancy painting my windscreen surround in black now (when I say I, really mean a reputable body shop). In fact it would be better to have it wrapped in black as getting it painted properly would require the windscreen being removed (I hate bodge paint jobs) and wrap would be easy to remove.
Thanks for the idea and love that colour.
Feelin the yellow love. Backatcha!! s:-D :-D s:-D
There are a few on here with painted windscreen surrounds.

Have you sufficient height in your garage to suspend your hardtop from the ceiling?
Sufficient height... Yes.
Sufficient junk in rafters... Also, yes. s:-( :-( s:-(
I have a hardtop stand too. Which is currently occupied by 8 outdoor wooden chairs. s:-( :-( s:-(
SNAFU (Situation Normal All Filled Up)!
Pretty much Tony s:lol:  s:lol:

Banana and Custard!!!
After hearing a grinding noise over the weekend from the brakes. I decided to investigate. I found that my offside inner pad was down to the metal, but only at the bottom.

Now GSP are no longer with us. Where do we get parts? Only MrT?
Btw, this is our new temporary garage....

I had a stroke of good fortune yesterday. I had tightened up all the wheel nuts, but hadn't realised that the locking nut was still on the wheel nut. I did some brake tests. Then drove about 10 miles on an errand, got back to the house and thought i'd have a quick check of the torques and noticed it was still on there!!! PHEW! s:lol:  s:lol: s:lol:  s:lol:

Got banana back today, after being without her for over a week. s:bounce: :bounce: s:bounce: s:bounce: :bounce: s:bounce:
My suspect rear offside wheel bearing was actually a front. So the front hub has been changed. Hub alone was £250, genuine part.
Failed nearside handbrake cable, offside was on its last legs too. So had them both changed.
Then had to have the punctured tyre changed, as it wasn't repairable. s:-( :-( s:-(
Not much change from £750 though. s:shock:  s:shock:
Good news though, sailed through MOT! Huzar! s:-D :-D s:-D

Been up to Steve @ D1 Customs today for a service and a general look-see for some of the wibbliness I have been experiencing recently.
Confirmation that the geometry set up from December is wrong, as she is pulling to the left slightly.
Fitted the FL front bumper aero lip to see if that makes a difference. Will be able to assess better when the geo is sorted.
Any snaps of the lip buddy?

Latest and almost last installment of the handbrake saga. The garage that fitted the wrong handbrake cables have now refitted with the OE parts and things seem to be OK. As I have been bitten, I will be making a trip up to Steve@D1 Customs, (which I am fed up of typing so will now be... S@D1C!!) for another check of their work.
The freeness of the rework, was in large part down the report that Steve complied for me. His Toyota Master Technician qualification carried the necessary weight. s:-D :-D s:-D

I figured (after Simon's update) that this thread is also overdue an update.
March 2017
Banana went back up to Steve's for an MOT & Service. One of the front shocks had a very fine misting. Time for a change then. Banana was now running 100k on what I (and Steve) believed to be original shocks and springs. So I was at a crossroads. I had been figuring that I wanted to head down the coilover route for a while. Tomos (previous owners of Scott's Bee6) was running 17" and coilovers and had reported that the roads we both use to get to Gaydon were not fun on a stiffer ride with low profile tyres. So my choice was:
1. Change to coilovers and have stock wheels.
2. Refresh with stock suspension* and carry on being a tart running 17" wheels.
I love my wheels so much, that I went stock suspension route. I know, I know.. big surprise... NOT! ::) ::)
*I would have run lowered springs, had I not had put them up for club auction just 4 months earlier!! (:< >:) (:< >:)
S@D1C ordered and fitted new the kit.
Banana responded really well. The ride was much improved, even on my tarty wheels with rubber bands!
Additional work carried out by Steve was a full underbody sealing treatment.
Summer 2017
As we are all well aware, the sunshine months produced their usual quantity of precipitation. Which slowly highlighted to me that Banana had a leak. The usual suspects of the drains were duly checked where upon I found... NOTHING! Everything was completely clear. Water would merrily run from the hood and onto the floor. With a mental workload I decide that she needs a visit to Dr Steve. After about a 4 week wait and now a footwell full of water.. the culprit is found...
The drain pipe had become detached from the plug hole!! Under watering can volume, some of the water managed to shoot into the plug hole. Giving the impression that all was OK. I wish I had spotted it earlier, it might have saved the carpet. :-(
As things stood, I needed a new carpet and the NVH pads underneath. Steve had a word with Dean@Rutland and he had a great condition hood. A Toyota re-trimmed one, not more than 6 months old. BONUS!! I had been considering the trip down to Wales for a new one and now I didn't need to. :-)
With the new hood fitted, Banana was even quieter with the roof up.
March 2018
Banana is currently with Steve for her annual check up and MOT. Apart from a little adjustment on the handbrake, everything is going well. Looking forward to getting her back soon to enjoy the... snow?!? lol.

Sounds deading patches for the door skins. Delivered by Puma2 from last years DD!

Not sure if I need extra materials for the markiii pipe. Pretty sure it's just the pipe. I haven't even opened it from when Steve sent it to me. Lol.
The armrest is just a drop in thing in fairness. Just require coordination from the garage to Banana. As she lives outside the 2 are often mutually exclusive. ::)

Bit of self adhesive foam (draught excluder style) to seal the joints where the pipes all meet and maybe some electrical tape to hold it in place, nothing else required as long as the mounting screw is still in place.

Perhaps Tony. It can be a very small talking point today! :)
Banana has been off the road for the last 7 weeks. During the summer heat she developed as PAS (power steering) leak from the union at the rack end. She drained nearly all her fluid, steering feel was normal, but the pump was noisier than usual under load. Additionally I have had an intermittent heavy feeling to the steering. I suspected the lower UJ, but Dr Steve had fed back this was ok not long ago.
So a few weeks ago she went up to Dr Steve, once all the other cars were back on the road. 3 cars all broke within 4 days that week!!!!! Not our best week this year.
Steve first noticed that the PAS pump was not working when it arrived at the workshop. This was a partially corroded relay as it tuned out. It also helped explain the intermittent heavy feel, which was the pump cutting out.
Onto the pipes themselves. £300 for an OE set from MrT!!
So we ended up with some from Hamish on here.
Getting the pipes out is something to not underestimate. Especially for a car like Banana, 100k+ daily driver. To say they were corroded was the biggest understatement of the year! Steve has tirelessly worked to get these suckers free!
Given the state of the pipes post removal, it is a credit to Steve that the rack wasn't trashed in the removal process too. Thanks @steve@d1customs
I am really pleased to have her back on the road. I am looking forward to topless drives to Gaydon in my immediate future. :) :) :)

Fitted these replacement aero wiper blades yesterday. Only my second set, the previous ones had been on for years. This set had a 20" (drivers) and a 19" (passenger). When I went put them on Banana I noticed that my previous passenger was shorter, see below.
Performance wise they are still the same. Just in a parked position it looks like this, when viewed down the windscreen.
Not quite sitting on the screen at the outboard edge. Once in operation, it is fine.
I can't remember what size I used in the past
Co-incidentally I have a 20 and 19" set on my coffee table waiting to go on.
They have got into sync and both ripped on the way to work on monday!
You should get a better clearance at the top of the cleaning arc with the 19" as there is a gap if you use an 18".
(Not sure how you have made a set last years though, I barely manage a year per set).
Mine were not ripped, just the passenger side one was leaving a partial smear. I think the recent frozen spell might have seen them off.
Can't think of any other reason why mine last longer. I get plenty of muck on the screen as my usual drive is on B roads, where farmers insist on using the same roads with their muddy tractors!!
Banana went in for an MOT on Tuesday, she failed :-(
Seriously leaking NSF shock - was only changed 2 years ago. Also the side I have the bent rim on. Not sure if those are linked.
Front Lower control arm rear bushes both pooched! Anti roll bar bushes and drop links need changing too.
Parking Brake excessive travel, blah blah blah
Foggy headlights, unable to produce pattern to measure.
Brake light out.
Got hold of some Yaris lower control arms for 5% of the MR2 exorbitantly priced ones. Hope they will fit. Had to take it to a local garage to do the work.
Should know tomorrow if we are all good!
@steve@d1customs we miss ya! :-(

Don't believe in those, so I will just take your words of encouragement as a positive vibe instead. :)

Worse news, £200 was unnecessary.

Oh, and to end on a positive note...
Yaris lower control arms, bosh... straight in!
@Bossworld (https://www.mr2roc.org/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=23743) many many thanks!! I owe you some beer tokens. You have saved me a packet!

Some good news there for you Stu and for me as I can now uncross one set of fingers.
What was the " unnecessary " £200 for?
Hope your soon feeling better/ full of mischief.

That was for the front strut incl fitting. At the beginning of 2017 Steve fitted a full set of struts and springs to Banana. Fast forward 2 years (almost to the day), only 15k miles and we have a failure. This should be a warranty issue IMHO. I know if Steve was working (totally understand why he isn't) he would have had this sorted already, you know because he is awesome like that! :)

Fitted a new engine lid prop clip. Old clip was a pain to get out!! For those trying it, the retention clipping features run along the prop axis. Where I shoved the screwdriver!! :)

Looking good Stu! :)
Thank Jane.
She always puts a big smile on my face. :D
Even more so when she is clean!!
Being a daily driver, she doesn't always look at her best. I simply don't have time to keep her looking as she should.
Nice and clean
Top marks :)
EML popped up Monday night. Had a quick look. Anyone like to guess the error for a giggle?
Also, noticed a tinny-type squeaking noise coming from the Nearside. It's deffo linked to road condition. A bumpy road will have it squeaking like a mouse on caffine!
Have dropped it off at the place that did the lower arm to see if they can diagnose. I am fairly sure it wasn't there before, but it was making different noises due to the worn bushes.
I wondered if it was the anti-roll bar or the new lower control arm (as it was the Prius one).
Would it be a PO135?
Good luck with the squeak!
EML would be the top nearside O2 sensor, whatever code that is.

Give that man some dinner.. we have a winner! ;)
EML hasn't come back on yet. I will get on and order one though. Always had the proper ones.
Squeak is proving more tricky though. The garage initially took her out and couldn't hear it. They still checked all the suspension bushes with a long rod. Then someone else took her out heard the noise, but couldn't pinpoint it. A third person (in helping me to bring her home) could easily hear it, but couldn't say where it was coming from. other than he felt it was body related rather than suspension related. :-\ :-\
In either case, the suspension has been looked at again and deemed safe. So that was my main worry.
Squeaky lives on for another day! :-[ :-[
Finally remembered to order my new O2 sensor!!
Hopefully it will be here by the weekend.
Rear tyres were an advisory on the MOT. The slide I had yesterday on a roundabout, was reminder enough that it needed doing immediately.
£75 a corner isn't too expensive.
On the nearside they discovered that another dinged wheel. :(
Which means another trip to Wheels UK for a repair. After splurging on the tyres, the refurb will have to wait this time. :(

Fitted and currently error free :)
Fitted my kick panels today.
On Thursday this coming week, Banana is going to Rogue for a service.
They also diagnosed the weird noise that appeared just before Ding Day.
@tomaky called it, it is brake related. It looks like my NS passenger upper brake shim is partially broken. It is tizzing with road surface inputs.
Rogue diagnosed it when I dropped in to book the service. Top chap Matt!
Good to hear its being sorted. Although my diagnosis wasn't 100% 😂
If at any point it was Hb adjustment it might have corrected as it wears. Either way happy result 😊

Heard from Rogue this morning.
Banana has a hole in her rusty sump. :(
Banana is back from Rogue.
Oil and filter change done.
Spark plugs changed.
'O' ring on tensioner replaced.
The tinny rattle was a broken front brake shim, which they replaced. The OE parts were £40!
Sump has been replaced and is 100% less hole-y
Aux belt has been changed.
Tensioner arm for the belt was not moving freely, so that has been changed out for a secondhand part temporarily.
I imagine she drives better now

Ummm not really noticed a difference tbh.
She has developed a squeaky front brake. I may be too distracted by that noise to notice anything else! Lol.

Banana is going for her MOT tomorrow after receiving some much needed love from MattPerformance.
Hoping to be razzing around on the weekend. I have really missed driving her. She has been out of action for the best part of a year now. Due to a combination of ill health and being out of work.
Just in time for the better weather :)

Many years ago I broke one on a Morris Minor that was stranded with a flat tyre. It broke while I was undoing it for the guy as he was not very able. It broke with me on the end of a standard wrench so all I could think was that it had been overtightened with an air gun. Maybe that is what has happened with Banana x2 ?
Close shave Stu
Could of been nasty, very unlucky to have two break
:'( got there just in time by the look of it.

I agree with the above comments - very unlucky to have 2 break, could have been very nasty. Hopefully all on the mend now?

Just so mate. Very fortunate I stopped driving when I heard the first clunk.
It started out as a small front creaky noise. Noise stopped when the drivetrain was either loaded up or just off the power or brakes applied.
Only happened in a state when no load was seen. Very peculiar. First thought was something to do with the braking system.
Very weird set of symptoms.

Yup, all fixed and safe once more. 👍👍
Just need to get the 17's off and refurbed. I reckon they have been on there for about 8 years now, maybe longer. Will have had Banana 10 years next year.
I may be wrong but is part of the reason they snapped is because they're Toyota bolts on aftermarket alloys, which generally need chamfered bolts?

I hadnt noticed that but good spot. I would say that you definitely need tapered nuts on all those wheels immediately!
PS I cannot believe the prices of these guys (but note, they only strip and powdercoat and dont do any repairs).

That seems a good price, I paid £260 in 2011 for what they are now asking £180, at a company within a mile of their location.

These wheels do not use stock nuts. They have a chamfer on them. 👍
One of the reasons being that the pockets for the nuts are quite narrow, so the stock nuts have no chance of fitting.
I am relieved to hear that!
The locking nut does look like the oem one doesnt it?

Bittersweet post for Banana today.
She has been at Rogue for the last couple of weeks. Primarily to get her through the MOT, but also for some care and attention.
She had a rumble which felt like it was coming from the front. The sound disappeared under light cornering. Turns out to be a front wheel bearing. Had the opposite side changed about 50K miles ago.
During the pre-inspection, she also had a broken spring. Which is really surprising. She had a complete suspension overhaul on KYB shock and springs 38K miles ago (2017). Decided against another KYB spring as the other rear one was looking significantly corroded. Opted for some Tein springs as lots of folk on here run them with issues. Looking forward to seeing how she looks on the newly refurb'd 17's ;D ;D
Wasn't feeling too bad about that. Felt like I was heading towards another happy year of motoring.
Matt (Rogue) advised that the underside was not looking great and that a fix might be needed to get through the MOT. There was a spot about the size of a 10p near the sill in the floor.
When they started digging the 10p size hole grew into a hand sized hole. :-\
Then they took some video looking down the inside of the structure. :'(
I'll see if I can post both.
Not sure what to do now.
Oh this is sad to see.
Salvageable? Perhaps have some fresh sheet metal welded in.
These cars are at an age now where the low values make it difficult to justify restoration, they're just so disposable.
Those of us who can hang on to these cars and spend what needs spending to keep them on the road will only face another problem down the road, increase in parts prices as more parts become discontinued.
Gutted for you.
Struggling to upload. 😟

Deffo is going to need some investment. It's the size of the number that I don't know ATM.
A patch has been installed for now.
My concern is that she essentially is going to need a new floor pan and sills, which would just be uneconomical. Which makes me super sad. 😟

Oh.
Hopefully they can quote you happy for the "hole" but would advise getting that done within budget before paying out for the teins just in case.
Fingers crossed everything comes together.

Springs needed doing to pass the MOT. The extent of this happened after the fact.
The MOT was a litmus t st for the corrosion in this instance.
This hole has been patched, it was the wider extent of the rust that concerned me.
Quote from: SuperArt on July 2, 2022, 22:05Oh.
That was literally my reaction to the video too.
@StuC Sorry to see that Stu.
The rust seems to be at the bottom of the section, as expected, depending how deep is the corrosion penetration and your fondness for the car maybe a good spraying with a Bilt Hamber product or similar will stop/ slow the rot for a while.

Hi StuC a few weeks ago I picked up a Haynes manual Repair and Restoratioon of Classic cars? from my local library, it delt with mainly spitfires, stags and MGs which were a lot worse than your Banana. the guy was magic,he shows how to make box sections, create floor panels best welding equipment, or how to stretch or shrink metal. its an interesting read for any MR2 owner. good luck with your motor all the best greybeardgt

To put things into perspective, I am a very pessimistic personal overall.
What's a silver lining? Is that the bunch of grey clouds behind the one I'm looking at?
@StuC best ignore my comments lol.
I'd be interested to understand the history of the car a bit more.
I find it interesting that many cars are absolutely solid underneath, and how some are appalling, like this one (no offence).

My yellow had lived in Scotland for a while and was then left unloved it was in a very bad state.
I think if you daily drive them and park on the road you're in trouble. Add to that living north of Watford in the wet and cold it really does them no good.
I've been under all three of my 2s on lifts they all looked worse than my 10 plate focus with 180k. To be fair my 06 silver probably wasn't too bad although still needed subframe and radiator.
I can't disagree with that
@1979scotte , my 2 spent the first 9 years of it's life in the West of London. Since 2011 in my possession it has lived in our garage and not taken out in the cold , wet and salt.
However, it does not compare with
@ Petrus's vehicle that has been in a comparatively dry area.

Scott kinda touched on the history.
I picked up Banana just over 10 years ago, with the intention of her being a daily driver.
For the last 70k miles that is what she has been. Up and down country roads commuting about 50 miles a day, come sun or snow.
In between she has had some underbody treatments, but not stripped back every year. I would also add that I did not have time to regularly clean her. So any salts from the road just stayed there I guess.
Lastly to Scotts other point, she lives on my drive and not tucked up in a garage like Tonys precious one.
I was never my intention to keep Banana forever. However, she is the longest I have ever owned a car.
We have had some great times, but I need to be practical too. Matt (from Rogue) have already had a discussion about possibilities for next year. She is safe for the moment, we will just see what next year brings.
