Title: "Glueing" body parts
Post by: ShieldsOnTour on July 23, 2013, 09:12
Hi all,

I've just picked up TTE bumper inserts from OddShoes & they seem to need to be glued in. What is best to use? I've been using some clear sealant (bathroom style) for a lot of stuff - would this be OK or is there something "proper" that I should be using? Hoping to re-paint and fit this weekend - will post pic's up when done.

Thanks all.

Tim.

Don't use bathroom sealer as that will cause fishes eyes aka a reaction... Use tiger seal I find is the best as it can be painted over.. To leave no lines etc use panel wipe on a rag to remove all the excess.. Leaves a nice clean finish

+1 on the tiger seal.
I used it when I transplanted an Audi TT bumper onto my Seat Toledo... SOLID!!

I used it to fit the full s-line kit on my Audi... Never coming off unless I break it
