I have just recently brought TF004 from Birmingham. Now she can be seen on the roads of Northern Ireland. I have always thought TF001 would have been the last one. Has anyone had it confirmed which way around is the last one TF001 or TF300? Registered 18/12/06

Yellow isn't mentioned in the press release here (//http) and I don't recall seeing one on the list all that time ago. Would have been nice if they had done, they'd be the most exclusive ones, I'm sure  s:) :) s:)

QuoteThe TF300 features custom leather and Alcantara suede-effect upholstery. Crystal Silver, Astral Black and Sable body colours are available with red leather and Chilli Red and Lagoon Blue with grey leather interior. An extra dash of sports style is provided by smart twin stainless steel TTE sports exhaust pipes.

This one also claims to be 270 stu....

Not sure why anyone would do this to a tf300, they should be left in reversible position. Plenty of older models to modify.

Chili Red TF176 pre-registered by the garage on 31/10/2006 with factory fitted Hard Top and TTE twin exhaust fitted as extras I bought it on 29/05/2007 with 1 mile on the clock, never wanted to change my car since, in fact touch wood its been the cheapest and most fun car I have ever run  s:D :D s:D  Trade in was a Volvo C70 coupe so this was a serious downsize.  Has everyone kept their Final Production Certificate?  I also have a book written by Brian Long on the MR2 Mk1, 2 and 3 which is now out of print costs me about £14 new, last time I saw one for sale it was up for £100, no idea if it sold.

I have never done an event not sure i can manage that which is probably my loss but thanks for the heads up. Had a look on line and the cheapest I can find the book is now £400 second hand at this rate the book will be worth more than the car or I will be able to sell the book when the car needs some serious TLC.

Very intrigued by this, as Brian Long has written many books on various cars and not seen one priced so high.

Hi its the first one but you are on the USA Amazon this I saw on the UK one  m http://www.amazon.co.uk/Toyota-Coupe-Sp ... n+Long+MR2 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Toyota-Coupe-Spyders-Brian-Long-ebook/dp/B00GLUB5U2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1458346590&sr=8-1&keywords=Brian+Long+MR2) m

I think the other one (red) is just the MK1 MR2. Tbh I think its a silly price if they sell for that but thats books for you. My son collects Photographic books and often he gets them for around £30/£40 and they are worth hundreds when they go out of print. The trick is to sell them before they go back into print. Im pretty sure the MR2 book will never go into print again simply because the MR2 hasn't been a volume seller itself in the way many cars are so there wont be the demand for them. I certainly wouldn't of paid anything like that for one even though its a really good book, really well laid out and an interesting read.

If anyone could put one up or tell me where I can see one it would be much appreciated.

I believe it goes on the passenger side front bulkhead put want to see exactly, cheers.

220
214
182

119

I cann't remember exactly. It was available to anyone to see on the web and I had printed it off. Toyota sent me all the blurb on the TF300 tempting me to buy one. This online list was available to choose which number or spec I wanted. It was only available in 2006 and 2007 then was removed.

As I remember it (i could be wrong here) all TF300s were pre built so you could choose a number but you couldn't then choose the colour or spec (ac or/and hardtop). As the list shows I was interested in a sable one with ac, ht and the above list showed all the cars to that spec i just had to choose which number i wanted though not all of them were still available.

I would have thought someone who bought one new would know for sure as my memory is a bit hazy!

There's a blue one up the road, but it's on someone's drive.

The silver I bought yesterday is 212, failing that I was going to view 069 also silver for sale at the jaguar dealer in Hull.

BTW 069 is up at  £4995 and they were prepared to knock £500 off just over the phone.

Does anyone know what the square badge on the rear is meant to be? It kind of looks like Sydney Opera House to me  s:lol:  s:lol:

Just bumped into this thread from a google search about TF300s. It's interesting where the badges end up!

Number 243 up for same here https://www.tradecarsdirectstaffs.co.uk/used-cars/toyota-mr2-1-8-vvt-i-roadster-tf300-2dr-cannock-202008092266556 (https://www.tradecarsdirectstaffs.co.uk/used-cars/toyota-mr2-1-8-vvt-i-roadster-tf300-2dr-cannock-202008092266556) seems to have a bonus badge near the handbrake:
Frunk & rear badges all there, numbered stitching present and correct.

The apparent number 154 here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-MR2-ROADSTER-H-T-TF300-Limited-Edition-Hard-Top-and-Soft-Top-Gunmetal-MOT/324355604065 (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-MR2-ROADSTER-H-T-TF300-Limited-Edition-Hard-Top-and-Soft-Top-Gunmetal-MOT/324355604065) has the badge still with tape on the back balanced precariously on the back!
Previously listed here with more pictures: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-MR2-ROADSTER-H-T-TF300-Limited-Edition-Hard-Top-and-Soft-Top-Gunmetal-/324291713374?orig_cvip=true (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-MR2-ROADSTER-H-T-TF300-Limited-Edition-Hard-Top-and-Soft-Top-Gunmetal-/324291713374?orig_cvip=true). I actually quite like the colour combo - shame it's being sold as a genuine TF300! I wonder where the original number 154 car is?

Ok, creative if a bit pretentious marketing.

Looked at one in Valencia. Was imported from the UK and impossible to sell because of RHD. Don´t remember the number; was metallic dark blue.
The style bar did look good though. Same thing the exhaust; style & sound only but it sure did look & sound better than stock and the combo with the style bar was imo spot on.

Did the TF300 have LSD?

The style bar is very in keeping with the disabled toilet door grabs (Ginny Buckley's review), I think they go quite well with the design of the car. Divisive certainly.

As for the TF300 needing more options to be special I agree. Should've thrown the options book at it.

The German equivalent and objectively rarer runout series was limited to 100 units.
These DID receive TTE grandprix wheels, TTE suspension and looks like exhaust, style Bar a numbered plaque. Better attempt at it than the GB models but still no turbo.
Shame.

Most parts are interchangable, doors, engine, gearbox, bumpers, etc

Because RHD cars are very cheap(especialy crashed ones), some people are buying crashed cars in UK, and selling parts in Poland.

If the vin and engine number match the registration number on that car then it is likely to be 117. The registration is at least for a TF and therefore more than likely 117. Haven't a clue why someone has removed the seats and the exhaust but left the number plaque and the rear TF badge but debadged the rest of the rear while changing the bonnet badge

Quote from: carolineasb on August 19, 2021, 22:21@The Other Stu I see they've removed the TF badge from the rear of 142 and put an old TSport badge there. Also no TTE Exhaust, I take it due to the engine swap
Yeah, the TTE exhaust often gets removed. Which is odd, because the Rogue swap allows it (I know - this is the same swap I have and I have a TTE exhaust).
It's on a 56 plate though and the person selling it seems to know what they're talking about so it's probably legit.

Silver TF279 here; purchased September last year from south-west of London, seems to be all original with no bits missing or added.
This one has been used daily but looked after it would seem.

119 in Sable is for sale literally a couple miles from me.
eBay: TF119 (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/235057513754?hash=item36ba85051a:g:BHUAAOSwmeVkkS4z&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4PkzBo3O97N2Hq4xmoj0Yl8fy6CyV5YF5PHcjVh2hqVj3dym4h2%2Ft9Ol8otpxX45%2B57ZMXmllIXCK6mWkmG0rmTe2Ds9ZLtTrbY%2Fy2%2FLILpfbnTEf%2B1w%2FtcVuB2bkSZ67yKnll4lvBCtomBO7UV%2FRh%2BKtBQUCf8t6Gitb7Cv1bKnfqMCqYfu4TLZicDfTnniYYyY9aEeCZA%2BzuiiOxGXSPUvqxSajHlcqE04INtYiLZYthMmqsuD0hdy3YJOU3YPEFDVdUBU3lfDiCPlk5npGcYmUj6MjgTXO%2BueScaSGa9g%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR6i8i5adYg)
Is that a good price?

I would like to think seems reasonable.
Owners for 16 years. I would like to see invoices for how well maintained.

£7k, 1k of that is hardtop.

Seems a lot of weights on the wheel to balance.

I was going to say it was strong money until I read the description and saw it comes with AC and hard top, I'd say it's good money for all that.

Well spotted. Less than half that on mine. I hope there's no story to that.

I'm going to look at an SMT this weekend, but I'm going check out the TF too.

Weights are less dense now I believe, due to the materials they're made from, takes more individual weights to balance.

Checked the MOT history for 119:
QuoteDo not drive until repaired (dangerous defects):
Parking brake efficiency less than 50% of the required value (1.4.2 (a) (ii))
Repair immediately (major defects):
Nearside Front Windscreen wiper does not clear the windscreen effectively (3.4 (b) (ii))
Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories):
Nearside Front Coil spring corroded (5.3.1 (b) (i))
Offside Front Coil spring corroded (5.3.1 (b) (i))
Offside Rear Coil spring corroded (5.3.1 (b) (i))
Nearside Rear Brake hose has slight corrosion to ferrule (1.1.12 (f) (i))
Offside Rear Brake hose has slight corrosion to ferrule (1.1.12 (f) (i))
This is from September '22, and the advisories have not been fixed.

I haven't spoken to them yet, but if those advisories have not been repaired, I think that affects the £6995 price tag.

Also, it's done 52,224 miles.

Rear quarter has had an accident.
Different colour to the test of the car.
Unlikely to be numbers matched original panel repaired, probably not great for a potential survivor/collector

And again, well spotted. I haven't looked at it yet, so can't comment. But I do see what you mean.

Does anyone know if the wide body kit was actually sold as an OEM option? Like have you seen them for sale? I know the kit can be purchased aftermarket and installed, but curious if any where made OEM.

Just aftermarket part, too extreme for Toyota

Oh wow, that's interesting, next number on to the 'suspicious 258' Yellow one. How does the VIN compare to the yellow one? (ending 5908) I know there are other confirmed TF's with VIN below & above this car which may indicate TF258 in yellow was within the final 300 UK models.

They didn't make a yellow TF, I know of the car and checked directly with Toyota when it first surfaced many years ago

many errors on that car the only thing TF is the rear square badge

many errors on that car the only thing TF is the rear square badge & that's on upside down + the TF258 number is stuck on the bulkhead not on the frunk liner like most others, not to mention it was registered six months before the TF range was launched!!!
