I uprated my H4 pre fl dipped and main beam from stock serams to the nightbreakers id say there was a improvment of 30%
The FL bulbs are h7  s:) :) s:)

I upgraded mine with the night breaker bulbs and then replace the sidelights with led bulbs. This has given me a consistent colour temp in the front

I also put led in as my sidelight.

Philips Xtreme Vision for me, picked them up for £12 a pair on Amazon and they are great.

I've only for got the main beam done though as I'm using LED sidelights (and the high beam is on less than 1% of the time so I didn't feel the need to upgrade it). I'd go with the full set of these though if I did decide to.

Don't forget these bulbs still have the same power (55w).

I upgraded the Mr2 to some 80w bulbs which was the only way I found an acceptable / reasonable improvement

Hmm tempting, to go 80w especially with the nights and morning being darkness drives.

Quote from: "SuperArt"I will have to read up on how to install LED sidelights

They are literally a like-for-like swap, same fitment but have small panels of LEDs around the side and top instead of a single bulb. I'm not 100% convinced by them to be honest and may go back to bulbs though.

I can't resist adding this.

I use h7r 4300k HIDs in my facelift projectors.

Before we all lose our minds, they 100% do not blind people as I measured lux above and below the cut off point in the beam pattern before and after fitting. They're almost identical to standard halogens (10% brighter above the beam cut off point).

To add, if you're increasing the light output of your standard lights with Osram nightbreakers or similar you'll be increase the brightness of the light that is allowed above the beam (the light intended to illuminate road signs and make you visible to other drivers) 60% ish)

HiD kits in projectors are fine. It's when they are in reflector units that they cause issues!

Not exactly. I first put some standard h7 HID bulbs in there and they did throw a fair bit of glare. It wasn't until I changed to the h7r (with the anti glare shield) that I was happy with the readings.

quick question sorry to be a pain if i went for the 80w when standards are 55w would if cause me any problems

also how long do they last it seems to vary some people complainin go after a few months i suppose if made it to 18months would be worth it
