That's now changed your PCD. Is that 5x114.3?
5x112 35mm width , 2 part spacer , fronts are rubbing on full lock sadly ..... trying to find a pair of 18" for the front with 225's should solve the problem ,
then lower it to suit once the Meister coilovers settle
Interesting. See if you can post up some pictures that describe this a bit better. Looks like you might need to toy with the geo of the car quite a bit to get it there. It will be very sensitive to camber/toe setups so you might need to fettle some.
what would you want to see ?
trial and error build as I'm a total mechanical idiot ..........
my ideas and see if its possible to be done by people that know what to do , so I'm open to any suggestions or input .......

2 things I would want to see:
- Profile angle at full lock
- close shot at current ride height (as close to wheelarch as possible)
a friend who put 18" on his time attack car had to modify suspension arms heavily
Ok , i'll sort that for you later

Hmmm you might want to re-shape your wheel arch liners slightly, doesn't seem you're fouling on the actual wheel arch from what I see here.
Could do with some lowering and check the spring pre-load is even left and right.
Its the outside part of the tyre that's hitting the inner arch/bodywork when turning if that makes sense , liners have been removed so its hitting the arch structure.... Maybe could try 215's to help but an 18" wheel would do the job
Meister coilovers have been fitted from the group buy but no adjustment as yet

You might have to grind and patch-weld the arches themselves then, if you go for bigger wheels you'll need smaller profile. Don't know if your back can take the bumping s:lol:  s:lol:
You will have to adjust the coilovers to your liking, ride height and damper settings. As said before make sure you pre-load left and right sides evenly s:) :) s:)
Bigger ....... 18" is smaller for the front , yeh and I've had two back operations s:shock:  s:shock: .....
I was thinking that I would have someone professionally set it up for me , other suspension bits will need to be done I'm sure after all its a 17 year old car
I have the lips ground out on my inner arches and welded, so they are completely flat. 215/40/17 are the absolute max I can get on and still get full lock, they are missing by about 2mm. So if you work out the diameter of those and base your 18's around that. You will miss
You can see in this pic
(http://i376.photobucket.com/albums/oo203/Leethesparky/IMG_20170624_120027_815_zpsrtkyfezs.jpg) (http://s376.photobucket.com/user/Leethesparky/media/IMG_20170624_120027_815_zpsrtkyfezs.jpg.html)
thanks for the pic , have flattened the seam as you have but your side skirt is sitting further back than mine , more flush with the beginning of the arch , have to look into that , 18's with a 215 or 225 should do the trick and adjusted with coilovers , seems I'm collecting wheels now for a hobby ..... staggered Rotas and 2 of each Audi wheels s:shock:  s:shock:
Yeah my hobby too, I've got a collection of tyres behind my shed that rubbed lol just gave away 4.
My sideskirt does sit flush back, and it's important it does to get the lock clearance
Its not that bad but noticed its slightly forward of yours , doors are rubbing on side skirts aswell so a bit of adjusting here and there then a full match up re-spray of doors, roof, bonnet and engine cover , thought I could get away with it but it doesn't quite match , I see in your thread you're going to build a new 1zz , have you found many forged parts in UK ? Parts I've seen are all from MWR

You can get forged parts from many tuning shops around here in the UK. Speak to Fensport and other related companies, see what they have to offer.
Great , thanks for that , have contacted them about parts ,
will need some advice on what i'd need ...............??

Lee is a good bet, since his is already turbo'd. MattPerformance is also a good point of contact, here on the forum.
thanks again , I had a chat to Patrick on here about doing the build for me , so that bit sorted ,
just about acquiring parts now , seems you never stop spending money on these damn cars ...................

You're saying that to someone who's about to finish a 2zz swap and then do a K swap on another one s:lol:  s:lol:
K20 swap ? That interests me ......
Would be very interested in that swap if you offered it ?

I'm only an amateur enthousiast, not a pro mechanic. I can offer my knowledge through experience in a separate build thread. Work starts end of year. Stay tuned s:) :) s:)
Best of luck with your build , I will keep an eye on it

Hi Paul, where did you get that widebody kit from? I can only source widebody gt300 from the states....
Cheers Otto
Hi Otto , was lucky here around Christmas that I found it on eBay second hand still was a £1000 , took a long time fitting and still not a perfect fit , needs some more adjusting be will get it right in time , is it the duraflex kit you've been looking at ? Seems a good price against the luxury part kit with delivery , our new affiliate megillian Motorsport are saying they may supply a widebody kit maybe worth getting in touch with them
Cheers Paul

Wide is the way forward !!

I'm not so much interested in the wide, so much as the aero benefits and some air flow increase for cooling and CAI. Needs some more thought, more on the mechanical bits for back end of this year, brakes, suspension and aero will go onto the next.

Yes I have been in touch with them on Messenger about braces etc.. Interesting to hear they may do a widebody.
I need one to get the extra wide rear Audi track to fit without messing about with toyota hubs. The Audi transmission driveshaft etc is just a little too wide for the mr2 standard bodywork.
I have R8 alloys with the monocraft kit Meister coilovers , not lowered yet , but the handling/grip is unbelievable

Thanks again ,
bit of inspiration colour wise from torro Rosso F1 with the silver and blue
Didn't get finished today in the end , more paint needed I've been told , more pics will follow but really happy how its looking so far
Think we'll keep it standard rear wing wise .....but then you never know ........
Not the biggest fan of bodykits on our 2`s s:( :( s:(
But when it`s done right s:bowdown:  s:bowdown:
Not a big fan of the BGW look either s:( :( s:(
But this kit screams out for it s:D :D s:D
Awesome work.

Very happy with the finish !!
OK so after a few months wondering what to do with car I've settled on the stock 1zz and if we can get to 300bhp .....
Any help on this would be great
Clutch , need advice ?
Chargecooler yes/no ? Have intercooler fitted MWR position
600 injectors with MWR fuel rail and regulator ready to fit
T25 to T3 adapter for larger turbo is it needed ...?
Anything else please shout out
Cheers all
Try a rotrex?
It should give you the bhp without torque killing the gearbox.
I like charge coolers. The large eBay ones to the trick for little money.
You just need a quality radiator and pump.
But if I wanted to modify my turbo setup the charge cooler would give me 10-20 extra bhp over intercooler ??
AVT kit eBay 375 bhp £750 or are there alternatives ?, would rather new
Competition Clutch stage 2or 3 , not sure how difficult 3 would be to drive in traffic
And forgot haven't upgraded fuel pump yet walbro 255lph ?
Thanks

I would try the cheap eBay charge cooler with fiat Cinquecento radiator and Bosch pump. If it doesn't do the job you haven't lost much as it's so cheap.
The first things to decide are which method of forced induction and what kind of engine management.
Everything else follows on from there.
Sorry I've been running the whiffbitz turbo kit for about 4 years 176bhp 200lb ft torque now on second 1zz engine facelift 2004 55,000 miles , have looked at numerous swaps and forging of my engine with gearbox limiting things I can't seem to justify expense as I will have to pay for all the work to be done on the 1zz.
Whiffbitz told me the kit is good for about 270bhp , so would be happy at around that mark with parts I've got and will buy now
OK so bits ordered and some delivered
Fuel regulator
Fuel pump walbro 255lph
Charge cooler kit
Clutch CC Stage 3
Trying to get all parts in place and fitted to maximize performance for new map , any other suggestions ?
also thinking is it possible to have different maps so that I'm not running around on max boost all the time ?
What hardware would I need and would that need to run through the Apexi EMS ??
