PPE headers
A few more pics of bits and pieces. A work in progress. Even now, more bits on the way. The PPE headers go in on Monday 17th July, and I can possibly have it back on the dyno the next day. This current motor is much better than my first one, and with the handling sorted, I feel like spending on a few more extras. Really enjoy this car. I have a 2004 hardtop too, totally stock except for a manual conversion from SMT.
On the 2ZZ, Im testing out a mixed blue and silver look.
Hey! Nice to see your updated thread! Keep it up!

PPE Exhaust added.
PPE gave six more whp.
177 @ the wheels not bad for a 2zz.
Dynos rarely agree with each other in terms of peak power, but the PPE headers did give 6 more whp with a fresh dyno tune. The motor was a fluke purchase. Saw it appear on ebay saying it only had 9000klms on it. Turned out it was bought for a Lotus 10 years ago and never installed. Way better than my first 2ZZ. Bought it that day.
First motor (same dyno) 159whp. This motor with the Celica headers, 171whp. With the PPE headers 177whp. Loving it.
That's some increase in power.
We have had a lot of discussion on this board about how a poor exhaust and manifold can ruin a 2zz.
Glad the PPE has done the trick for you.
