Title: Fooling the Airbag light.
Post by: Carolyn on April 24, 2018, 08:49
If you have 'raced-up' your car, and swapped out the steering wheel and seat-belts, this knowledge will be handy:

3.3ohm resistor in the airbag plug, and 1 in both LH and RH seat-belt plugs extinguishes the flashing red airbag light on the dash!!

Please note,

As of May 2018 MOT regulations will require a fail if the airbag has been removed and the car is not 'significantly modified' for sporting use.

In other words if you remove the driver's airbag and/or the seat-belt tensioners you will probably need to have at least a half roll-cage and four-point harnesses installed in order to pass the MOT.
