Title: Carcoons
Post by: steveash on October 21, 2021, 15:00
I was spoilt with a double garage at our last house but this time around it's just a single and despite my efforts to hang things from walls and ceiling, it isn't looking to hopeful that the car will ever fit inside.

The alternatives are either a rented garage or an outdoor carcoon as it's heartbreaking to see my pampered toy sitting wet and grubby through the winter.

Does anyone have experience of carcoons or similar storage devices? It would sit on the drive behind the house so near a powerpoint and fairly hidden away. Recommendations very welcome.

@steveash
I've no experience of carcoons but if your garage has a pitched roof that can be utilised as storage space. I boarded out our garage in a similar way to a loft and it is home to much paraphernalia.

i do indeed have a carcoon! its very good kept the porka in good nick all last winter and there were some hellish storms. I was a stones throw from the sea aswell. Going to get mine out this winter so i have access to the garage at the new gaff. Can also recommend their customer service id knocked the power unit off the ground and it got a smidge wet and failed. they replace it under warranty.
