Post by: carspath on January 6, 2022, 18:39
Happy New Year everyone .

Please could you put up , or tell me where I can find , the Power and Torque curves for the Toyota 1ZZ-FED engine ( as found in the Mk3 MR2 VVT with 138 bhp )

Thank you

Thank you Shnazzle and Ardent.

I was trying to find out at what RPM the power and torque curves intersect .

There is a Mk3 dyno plot on MR2 Wiki , and it look like the intersection point is at about 5250 RPM

Would that make sense to you , and fit in with the curves above ?

Thanks again

Horse Power and torque always intersect at 5252. It's just the way horsepower is calculated from torque. They're not two measurements. One is a calculation of the other

HP = (torque * rpm) /5252

When you see HP/torque graphs where they don't intersect, you'll notice they're on different rpm scales.
