Title: 2001 Silver with Black interior - Sales Brochure states not a valid combo
Post by: MikeBoo on August 19, 2022, 21:10
I have a 03.2001 model car in 1D0 with trim FA20 (both of which are on the car's VIN plate).
However I have just looked in the UK Feb 2001 brochure which came with the car and it states that silver was only available a red interior (Phoenix), see the photo attached.
Does anyone know the reason for the discrepancy, was this a run out model before the facelift and just happened to be available from the factory with black (Dakota) seats?

Also it states that the silver name is 'Silver Haze' & not Liquid Silver as on this website.

The only thing that springs to mind is that cars can be built some time before actual registration so maybe this could account for it?

The colour names can change from country to country. And most charts online are American.
The codes are the same.
