Title: Apexi fitted last weekend
Post by: Anonymous on August 29, 2003, 02:53
Fitted the air-induction kit last weekend. It took about an hour and was a breeze (thanks to the article in Spyder magazine and help from other forumites - cheers guys).

I modified the redundant side-scoop-ducting, to feed outside (cooler) air  onto the filter (surgery was needed on the old feeder-pipe to the stock box).

The brackets fitted fine first time (slacy your piccies were great - thanks), and the sound - what can I say... Under load from 3500rpm it sounds like an F1 car  s:P :P s:P  it`s amazing. Feels slightly more torquey - but that could just be phycological...

The only issue - once fitted, started the engine and the management light came on... drove around a bit - it was still on. Disconnected the battery for a minute, on re-setting the ECU all was fine. Guess the computer sensed the difference in air flow  s:?: :?: s:?:

It`s a great mod - with the Postert twin exhaust - I love it.

Mike

PS - Writing this at Osaka airport - only saw one MR2 here, different colour very light blue(ish).
