Title: Engine temperature
Post by: Anonymous on September 2, 2003, 13:49
Hi all,

My new MR2 has now covered 6,000 miles and the engine temperatures are now starting to drop.

When I first picked up the car, I would have to open the back to let the engine cool down after a quick blast / run. I couldn't touch any part of the internal bodywork / bracing without burning myself..... even the top of the plastic bumper got quite hot.

Now I can easily put my hand around the left hand brace and other parts of the internal bodywork after a blast in the car.

I know that the external temperatures have started to drop, but I'm not sure if that's the cause. I'm glad the temps have started to drop and put it down to the engine loosening off.

Colder weather, but your engine is settling in.  Cooler is better with this car.
