Quote from: "SteveL"Hi all, I'm a newbie here. Having had a very nice red MK1 followed by a very nasty blue MK2 turbo import in the '90's I can happily report I have just bought a MK3, TF118, in black.

Quote from: "s12vea"118 red - currently for sale
Err one say black, one say red.

This one also claims to be 270 stu....

Not sure why anyone would do this to a tf300, they should be left in reversible position. Plenty of older models to modify.

That was definitely TF270 linked above as I have the seats from that car, what a waste of a mk3 let alone a TF.

Quote from: "Ardent"hello and welcome.
Would be good to post up in the newbie  say hello section and pop some pics up

Thanks. Will do and will also post some pics as soon as I've sourced new headlights. Currently the covers resemble crazy paving. Is there a sophisticated way of getting out of a MK3 which doesn't involve hands and knees ?    s:oops:  s:oops:

Chili Red TF176 pre-registered by the garage on 31/10/2006 with factory fitted Hard Top and TTE twin exhaust fitted as extras I bought it on 29/05/2007 with 1 mile on the clock, never wanted to change my car since, in fact touch wood its been the cheapest and most fun car I have ever run  s:D :D s:D  Trade in was a Volvo C70 coupe so this was a serious downsize.  Has everyone kept their Final Production Certificate?  I also have a book written by Brian Long on the MR2 Mk1, 2 and 3 which is now out of print costs me about £14 new, last time I saw one for sale it was up for £100, no idea if it sold.
MR2 Chilli Red, final 300 production run for U.K. Hard Top, TTE twin pipes, Alacantra leather. Pre registered, no mods but  Brilliant! Favourite quote "I don\'t expect to know what is around the corner but I do at least expect to know where the corner is"

I have never done an event not sure i can manage that which is probably my loss but thanks for the heads up. Had a look on line and the cheapest I can find the book is now £400 second hand at this rate the book will be worth more than the car or I will be able to sell the book when the car needs some serious TLC.

Very intrigued by this, as Brian Long has written many books on various cars and not seen one priced so high.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Hi its the first one but you are on the USA Amazon this I saw on the UK one  m http://www.amazon.co.uk/Toyota-Coupe-Sp ... n+Long+MR2 m

I think the other one (red) is just the MK1 MR2. Tbh I think its a silly price if they sell for that but thats books for you. My son collects Photographic books and often he gets them for around £30/£40 and they are worth hundreds when they go out of print. The trick is to sell them before they go back into print. Im pretty sure the MR2 book will never go into print again simply because the MR2 hasn't been a volume seller itself in the way many cars are so there wont be the demand for them. I certainly wouldn't of paid anything like that for one even though its a really good book, really well laid out and an interesting read.

Hi. Looking for a photo showing the exact position of the TF300 badge in the frunk. Looks like stu c put one up on a different thread about 18 months ago, but the photo no longer shows.

If anyone could put one up or tell me where I can see one it would be much appreciated.

I believe it goes on the passenger side front bulkhead put want to see exactly, cheers.
