To go with Liz's very handy MrT discount thread, Committee is building up a list of general discounts available to ROC members.

Please notify in this thread if you come across an opportunity to secure member discount and Committee will look into it and post up.

Thread will be pruned as and when details are added.

Please note that the Club and its Committee cannot endorse any of the products or services listed. Discount information is provided for information only and is correct at the time of posting.

Thanks

Whilt purchasing parts at my local MrT dealer today, I mentioned to the manager that other MrT dealerships around the UK were offering a reduction in prices for ROC members, I then asked if this was something which they could offer - he agreed instantly, but could only offer a 5% discount on parts, I know its not alot, but is better than nothing, I think this is the first MrT dealer in Wales to offer a discount   s:bounce: :bounce: s:bounce:

Do we still get discount from Demon Tweeks ?
Looking at wheels and tyre package. Are these included in any discounts they offer to us ?

Garfy

I was speaking with Lancaster insurance today and am waiting for a call back with a quote.
They asked me to supply the car club number to get a discount?
Do we have this noted down anywhere?
I've had a look through posts and can not find anything.

Thanks in advance

they probably think you are mr2dc or mr2oc.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Have you decided what you are doing about a turbo? If you still plan to modify it then I would think carefully about who you insure with as if you pick an ordinary company, they may not allow any performance mods or charge a stupid amount to amend your policy.

If you are definitely going turbo then best to insure for that at the beginning as its going to be cheaper/easier in the long run. They will probably expect you to complete the mods within a certain period of time though.

Make sure that you are clear with the mods you will eventually install. Had a massive row with insurer when I went turbo halfway through policy. Got my way in the end but had to threaten to take business elsewhere.

I know what's being added now.
Went back to my original insurer (Admiral) they wouldn't insure it.
Went to Lancaster with complete list of mods, it was only £40 more.
I'm happy with that  ;D

Maybe an inital bonus, will see next year
