Can I ask what wheels from other cars have the same PCD as the MR2 and will fit

4x100 PCD is extremely common. What you need to look out for is the offset/ET, and that if you're getting them second hand with tyres included, it's likely you'll be back to a square setup rather than the factory stagger.

Quite a few Mazda MX-5 wheels will fit the 2.

S for the whhels to stick out from the cat I need a + offset and to stick more inwords a - offsett

Ensure that the center bore is at least 54.1mm
Bigger and you can use spigot rings but smaller and it no fit too good

I have advised him, does anyone proof read ?
Say it with love, say it with flowers but never, never, say it in writing.

Oh no!! Thanks heaps @TheTigerUK for the warning.

I was watching TV at the time so wasn't paying attention. I'd like to think my phone would have auto-corrected that for me to be what I intended it to be,which would have saved some embarrassment.

Apologies to those that read that. Obviously not intended.

That entirely depends on what you're doing and your preference. But unless you're tracking it I'd say stock et45 is best.
If you're lowered, anything over et38 is going to cause rubbing in the rear wheel arches.
Just to correct your earlier post, the lower the ET, the MORE it sticks out. So et35 sticks out 10mm more than et45.

As said above, it depends on your tyre width and suspension set up.

I found ET35 too much with the car lowered, rolled arches and 225 rear tyres. The front was a bit more forgiving. ET38 may have been ok with that set up but a bit of a gamble unless you can find some 2nd hand wheels and try them first, thats probably very unlikely!

Et38 definitely works on a lowered car without issues. Tiniest bit of rubbing at full compression but only if you listen very closely. And that was with 225 width tyres so stock 215 won't run at all even lowered.

This setup worked.
6.5j et38 + AD08R 195/50/15 (Front)
7j et38 + AD08R 225/45/16 (Rear)

Hmm.
ET38 with 195 front and 205 rear on the not all that lower TRD Sportivo rubs fron and rear if I push the AD08Rs to the limit.

Willtheyfit is a great tool but be aware that it bases the distance in and out on the rim entirely. Also it does not allow for half sizes. Thus good for circumferance/hight, not for width.

Today I have cleaning and shining the OEM PFL rims on the agenda. Would lóve them on the Kei Wagon :-)

Now that you mention it, you're right with 195s front it does rub a tiny tiny bit.

Just stay stock!!
Et45 6.5 front, 7.0 rear. Done.
It's best. It really is.

Even if you get lower offset wheels to fit you may encounter the responsive feel diminished. Some people are in tune with it and others don't care but it kind of robs some of the go kart character this car is known for.
Staying with factory offsets is the best way unless you are willing to compromise a little.

PSA: I have 195/50/15 F and 205/50/15 rear, on a 7J ET35 wheel all round, and my car is lowered on Tein SuperStreet coilovers. Never had a wheel fitment/rubbing issue ever.
