Anyone else have a letter about this from their local T dealer? seems like a strange suffix given the MG.

Anyway, for those interested, there will be 300 'TF's' built to celebrate the end of the MR2 and available to order from June 1st and built during the final run in August.

- has a unique leather / alcantara interior with stitched numbers
- TTE exhaust
- Uniquely numbered
- Individual certificate
- Available in usual colours.

A big sarcastic wooooooooooooooooooo    s:!: :!: s:!:

Last chance MR2
Big-time success for the current MR2 turned out to be only a dream for Toyota. We said on MSN Cars at the time that it was crazy to launch a car with hardly any luggage space, but Toyota laughed it off. Now the MR2 has come to a premature end, a shame because it was and still is great fun to drive. So if a boot isn't an issue for you, get your hands on one of the final 300. Badged as the MR2 TF300, they get custom leather and Alcantara upholstery with the number in the production run stitched into the seat back, and a sports exhaust. The price is £18,015, £865 up on the regular model.

I'd like to have seen the last MR-2 as something like this...

TTE Turbo
TTE Exhaust
TTE Lowered springs
Push button starter
iPod capable upgraded stereo
Fitted luggage
17" alloys
Scuff plates

About a grand and a half more.....

They'd have sold a few of these.  s8) 8) s8)

I'm really sad to see it go, under-developed. Another X1/9 parallel.....

Regards

Stephen

Who on earth is going to buy a 2 badged as "TF"?

That's the last thing a serious 2 owner would want to be associated with.

Just received a nice letter this morning from Toyota GB Marketing Department telling me all about the new MR2 TF300...

Starting with "as an MR2 Owner, you will know that the exhilarating appeal of the Toyota MR2 is obvious to everyone who drives it. What you might not know, is that production of this legendary car will shortly cease."

Euhh HELLO...yes we do know the appeal of the car. yes we do know the production is ceasing...and we do know it is a legendary car...

What we don't know, is WHY OH WHY DO YOU CEASE PRODUCTION...Mupets
