A mod too far or lots of fun?

I'm not really into external modding, would prefer to spend money making the car faster, but after watching this video, I'd honestly love a set of these wheels.  So, fun or sad?

Obviously no one is actually gonna buy them but you can't help admiting you'd get noticed down the local cruise!

Boys Stuff Used to do something like this, It wasn't an alloy though. It was a bar bolted onto the wheel nuts. The bar itself looked a bit like the bar you use to remove the nuts L shape like.

Was about £200 quid but can't see it on the website now.
