Link doesnt work for me... If its the kit just under £300 then i like it, but not the front, was thinkng about it myself.

Gotta be honest i spotted this and was thinking the same thing.
and at £300 it doesnt seem too bad then £1000 for the TRD kit i was gonna get.

That's the link you need, Alan. I've deliberately left it long instead of putting in [url] tags so you can see that you need to copy the whole of the address bar, not just the first bit.

Ok Guys I have my Roadster in the bodyshop right as we speak getting that very kit fitted. I bought it from Ebay 2 weeks ago, no fuss at all. I bought it on a buy it now as I couldn't be bothered to wait 6 days for the auction to finish for the sake of £10. The service from this seller was fantastic. The kit took 2 days to get delivered. Be warned it comes in a huge box which is well packed.

The guy in the bodyshop ( Fast Road Automobiles - Newton Aycliffe - Co Durham ) said it was one of the better produced kits they had seen. I popped in today to see how they were getting on and its coming along a treat. Remember if you get this kit then you will need to have the exhaust modified for the twin pipes to fit correctly into the rear bumper. They had just finished fabricating the exhaust like the TRD twin pipes and it looks great with rolled in twin pipes.

I'm also getting the rear trim where the numbr plate is replaced with the later spec UK one ( the cars an MRS ) with mesh fitted eitherside. I'm also getting mesh fitted to the front of the lower bumper kit. I've also asked them to ditch the fog light and wire it into the rear light cluster.

I'm getting it all fitted and blended in and the end result should look good, I've got a lot of confidence with the guys @ FRA.

It should all be done by next Friday so I'll get the camera out and post a few pictures.

It might be a good idea to wait and see the end result in terms of the quality of kit and just how well it fits. I was atracted like you to the great value for the kit. I initially was only looking for side skirts but got silly prices up to £300 for them. Then I came across this kit for £40 cheaper for the whole lot. I've had a look at the exhaust and it looks mint, really sits beautiful in the rear bumper tail pipe outlets.
If you live aywhere near the north east get these guys to do the work as they know now after doing mine exactly what to do. They also specialise in other MR2 work.

I'll keep you posted, should have pictures by Wednesday.

Exhaust fabrication to twin pipes to fit exactly the rear bodykit using stainless 305 steel.

Remove front bumper fit lower skirt, paint whole bumper and replace using new bumper fixings.

Fit and mold and paint side skirts.

Remove rear lights, rear bumper, paint whole rear bumper, fit rear skirt and fit bumper using new bumper clips.

Fit mesh to front and rear bumper in relevant areas.

Fit later spec number plate body mouldings and paint.

£650

or £450 for fitting kit only

Yea good idea its not that far, straight down the A66 to Scotch Corner and its only about 15 minutes north from there. You could easily do it in an hour and a half. You could get the train to Durham as its only 15 minutes from there, John the owner of FRA will probably pick you up from the station when you collect.

I would say if you go for the basic bodykit fitting you will be looking at £450 - £500 and they will need the car for 3 days, but the great new is they work 7 days a week.....!

If you go for the whole job including moulding, exhaust fabrication, etc then you will be looking at around £600 - £700 depending on labour. The guys down @ FRA will give you a better quote.

Ok you have the TTE exhaust, well as long as the distance between the pipes will fit the oval's in the bodykit exactly otherwise it might need a slight adjustment either lengthened or shortened.

Do me a favour, can you measure the distance between the middle of the oval pipes from left to right and I'll measure the kit to see if it maches.

I thought about the rear end only, which they were willing to sell for about £80 IIRC. However having an oval H&S twin I realised the cut outs wouldn't work.

 ROC, I assume you are getting your exhaust to fit the cut outs, could you do me a favour and ask your guys if making the cut outs fit the exhaust is a possibility? In other words does the manufacturing fabrication allow the kit to be hacked, or is something unwanted and big-time going to happen.

Would also be interested in the measurements from outside to outside of cutouts, plus inside to inside. Just to make sure my existing are coming out approximately right for the kit. Thanks.

P.S. Afraid if they say yes, would probably be doing it locally anyway.

Thats right my exhaust was standard stainless so its been fabricated to fit the kit. Looks stunning as I've gone for big tail ends that fit the oval's great.

I should imagine they would be able to mod the kit no problem with a little fibreglassing. No harm in asking them.

Been to have a look at the car today and its coming along great.

All the kit is bonded on and it fits great. Its now it the processof being blended in and rubbed down ready for primer which will be on by tomorrow. I've had to wait a few extra days from Toyota for the new clips and the new rear numberplate surround so its not going to be ready till Tuesday.

The guy @ FRA has said its an excellent kit and better than a lot of kits available.

I'll keep you posted.

Update

I've been away for 3 weeks ( got hitched and Honeymoon ) so I had to leave the car in the bodyshop before I went away as it still had a day or two work left on it.

Ok, I'm getting her back tomorrow morning and will post pictures here. She looks stunning, but I'll let you decide. Would appreciate some feedback once the pikkies are posted.

Sorry guys I couldn't get the pictures done yesterday. When I picked it up she was gleaming white, looked brand new, then it started to rain. By the time I got home it was torential and the car was filthy.

If its not raining today I'll get her washed up and do the pictures, well worth the wait.

The car is a stock JDM Toyota MRS ( Note the registration )
The exhaust has been personally manufactured by FRA who modified it to fit the bodykit using good quality stainless steel.
