There was a thread on here recently about the cost in replacing the rear glass for the soft top.  The outcome was that you needed a new complete hood from Toyota and the problem was whether your windscreen cover covered it.

Now I'm wondering whether the rear glass is replaceable on the hard top or whether the same problem could occur.  Anyone had this problem yet?

the hardtop glass bonding looks very similar to the screens on my parent's nissan's.  Pretty sure that although it's a bit of a pain, it can be replaced.

Not had the problem (touch wood), but that's one horredously large and awkwardly shaped piece of glass, so cheap it won't be - looks replaceable to me though. I'm picking up my car from the dealers later, I'll ask if you like.

Just noticed, there's a lot of big words in that sentence!   s:lol:  s:lol:

Cheers.  It will be nice to know for the record although fortunately I have had no problems with my hard top.

Yikes! I just hope the insurance companies treat it as a normal windscreen repair, then £50 or whatever excess don't look too bad.

Well Grant has supplied part numbers so at least we know it's replaceable.  Fingers crossed no one has to do it.
