Wow, in 22 years speaking english, I've never heard of this cats/tree thingy. I had english, american, scottish teachers, and never heard them saying that either   s:lol:  s:lol:

Hi ben, it's nice to see you back. Thanks for the update - looking good.

I knew i'd seen those coil-overs before! Some of the guys have been considering the D2 setup and I wondered if you could give us your opinion of them please ...

that black and silver job is very nice, just a bit unsure about those wheel arch extensions.

if they were a better fit and with out the pop rivets it might be worth a look.

if your going down that route i'd look in to blending the rivets in etc.

no need to tell you i'm sure, but thought i'dd say it anyway.

good luck with the project, can't wait to see the next installment.  s:wink:  s:wink:

That's a normal stock cat - J-spec should be identical, just without the 3rd O2 sensor.

They do look quite different if you remove the heatshields, however.. I have one sans-shields at home - I'll take a photo.

Is teh C-One strut worth any more than the standard bar type struts?

Quote from: "uktotty"Is the C-One strut worth any more than the standard bar type struts?

Is that from a price or performance point of view. ????

uktotty

#21
Well I know they are far more expensive but are they worth the extra cash in what they do Rob?

Anonymous

#22
I'm not sure, I work on the basis that any additional bracing between the struts is always going to help, plus it's in one piece which makes it easy to remove.

They do look very good though - especially with my manifold, the markiii pipe and a few more bits in there - plus I do have the C-one engine damper  which should also help to keep the engine steady when I put my foot down.

I do tend to put mods on that give me not only the looks but also performance - even if its only a slight improvement.
