Yes I know there are threads relating to spings but I have a specific question.

You lot all want me to get my car lowered, I have found a couple of options which I wanted to run by you.
I have seen 30mm lower with stiffer ride better handling etc etc and I have seen 30mm lower with standard ride and feel?
Both the same make but with the complaints I have heard from people who say the ride is hard when lower has anyone experienced the softer ones ?

The GF210 coil spring is geared towards maximum performance, without compromising daily driveability. A subtle drop provides an aggressive stance, while the higher spring rates (+20% - 30% over stock) provide excellent handling and vehicle stability characteristics. These springs provide a very noticeable gain in performance when installed.

The NF210 coil spring features a tasteful drop, and produces the best overall ride quality and comfort for a performance lowering spring. The lowered stance of the NF210 gives the car an elegant pose, while the spring rates, which are only slightly raised (up to 5% over stock) retain factory ride quality settings.

This coil spring is extremely popular with luxury tuned vehicles, as well as those with larger diameter wheels that want to eliminate fender gap, but maintain excellent driveability while reducing the risk of damage to wheels that is associated with stiffer suspensions.

I might have missed something here, but what make are these? afaik, the tte/eibach ones are a standard settings - you'd have to go teins or some other adjustables for a change in feel

No "springs" alone are adjustable... it will always be some other dooberie (most likely the damper), or sometimes the ride height thingy on the strut whatsername.  All of which become quite expensive quite quickly.

The TEIN lower springs probably sound like what you want, as have yet to hear a bad thing about them.  Also the amount of drop isn't a straight 30mm all round, suggesting somebody actually put some thought into what they were offering and - shock horror - maybe even tested them quite a bit.

In fact I went to have these particular lowering springs fitted today at a MR2 specialist which shall remain nameless.  Sadly it turns out the springs ear marked for me had been fitted to somebody elses car who got there before me, and the reorder for new ones hadnt arrived, meaning my 206 mile round trip was in vain!

Err, yep sorry my bad, i didn't make it clear that it's the dampers that are the adjustable bits, although as mentioned these usually come with stiffer springs anyway...
