40K service, Toyota or specialist

Two questions that I wonder if you guys could give me your honest opinion on

- What are peoples general thoughts on paying for a standard toyota service over going to a specialist. In particular, what about any (potential) impact of keeping a full Toyota service history over a non-toyota service stamp?

- Has anyone in around the Central Belt area of Scotland got an independent that they would recommend for price quality?

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Personally I kept with Toyota main dealers until the warenty ran out.
I think the law says they have to honour the warenty as long as independants use genuine Toyota parts but try arguing that with Toyota GB if anything goes wrong...

I have used the same back street garage for over twenty years because the owner is a car and bike enthusiast that i trust completely.
This guy gutted the precats for me on my first 2, and fitted my che on the current car.
However for a service he is only £10-20 cheaper than mr T, so i reckon its worth that for the stamp, even mr T should be able to do a service properly.
