Bumper Extensions

The worst dealer fitted option I had was bumper extensions. They look pretty good, especially with the twin exhausts but the fitting is awful. When I took the car back for MR.T to have a look at the poor paint job on the bonnet he said "They are all like that". The rhs one is fitted better than the lhs but both have gaps between the bodywork round the top, particularly in the wheel arch. My main concern being water ingress and the possibility of that causing deterioration of the bodywork.

Anybody else got bumper extensions? If so what was the fitting like?

I recall seeing a kit with bumper extensions and side skirts at JAE and it didn't look too hot at all, gaps and screw heads showing.

Hey mate,

I have them fitted, they replaced them THREE times until they were ok, there is now NO gap between them and the bumper - my dealer said the same as yours but as we'd just bought TWO MR2's he was kinda helpful lol.

Mine have started to come away from the bumper slightly again now and is on the list of stuff for them to sort when the car goes back - any way check this out:
