Indeed, they were sprayed stock vents, as I recall - but they're the ones Mark was referring to, and give an idea of the general effect, if not entirely accurate.

I'll have a pair in silver please, how do we go about getting you the money ? and were you able to get any discount on the 60.00 price for a group buy ??

Mine were not painted they were replacement chrome vents from Japan!

Has anyone sparayed the stock ones any other colour?

Just wondering what they would look like sprayed the same colour as the car!

"Everyone" used to do that before 2003...

Most think that they look better than the unpainted stock ones, but worse than the 2003 ones.

I also was thinking of 03 side vents but I might just remove the 02 ones I have and paint them, has anyone already done this before on this forum and have any Pics?   s:lol: :lol: s:lol:

I got mine painted recently (Lagoon blue) after seeing cartell's (Silver), cartell's 2 can be seen on "Appearance Related" page 5 "Brake Caliper Painting" (cartells car looks ssooooo good in those pictures, I'm sure he used a professional photographer   s:twisted: :twisted: s:twisted:  ).

I think mine look better than they did but I'd still like to sort the grille out   s8) 8) s8)  .

Personally I just don't like the dimpled design, I think they look cheap, but I do agree thay look a bit better painted.

IMHO the pre-03 vents look absolutely awful!  s:shock: :shock: s:shock:   I couldn't wait to get rid of mine and replace them with 03 vents as soon as they were available!

it's not just a colour thing, (despite the original ones looking like grey tupperware plastic!), the 03 vents are a totally different style, and really improve the look of the car.

I can confirm that the lagoon blue 03 vents are an identical colour to the pre-03 body colour btw, a perfect match!

Obviously we could get onto the next compulsory appearance mod.... clear side repeaters... but that's another topic!   s:wink: :wink: s:wink:
