Cel light came up last night, I've taken the Battery leads off twice, light comes on after second trip.

I've ordered a Reader but probably won't arrive until Monday earliest. I'll like to "handle" this over the weekend, ideally on Sunday, anybody in Essex with a Reader about on Sunday?

Update,

The issue was the Post Cat Sensor, ordered an EBay one (I know), I'm so cheap it's frightening, also ordered a 27 Ohm by 10 Watt Resistor. Am I correct in saying I solder the resister in line to any of the black wires and ideally leave it exposed as practical to cool in use?

Also put some torque on the Sensor......that sucker is not gonna come out without a fight!!     I'm coating it in WD40....(run out of Plus gas!)
