I'm looking at buying a 2005 or 2006 MR2 (red if you have one!) for the wife. We've had 3 roadsters already and always with a hardtop, which we like for the winter months. There aren't many 2006 cars about and I haven't seen a red one yet with a hardtop - was this deleted from the options list for the later cars or perhaps less people specified them? Anyone know?

The hard top and fixing kit can be added for around £5-600 second hand later if you find one without a hard top.

As far as I know, the hard top was an option to the very end. However, the SMT was dropped in the last 18 months of sales in the UK.

Sorry guys and gals but why oh why do you want a red one? The only cars that look good in red are Feraries (not sure I've spelt that right).  Silver or black are the only serious options (duck)   s:D :D s:D

Ah - but do you mean one with red body work, or the 'Red' edition one - sable with red roof?
