As I might have mentioned once or twice, the car got its first track outing yesterday. It was rain all day, which got torrential by 4pm. The car behaved very well indeed, managing to turn in and find grip. Others were sliding about and under steering badly. The Federal 595RS-R tyres were brilliant in the wet so top tip from Goeman there. I hope they are as good in the dry. Full credit to the advice received on here and the settings applied by Matt. The mods worked well as a package. I had softened the BC suspension right up for road use and I left it like that given the rain. I was happy to be running on a par with some amazing machinery but I'm not too blinkered to realise that tyres were a lot to do with it. My mate's Type-R Elise, pictured below, was sliding around on his Yoko A048's. All in all a good day out despite the weather.
