Well done Stu. It did seem a very solid and sweetly running Roadster, when we worked on it. Good stuff!  s:) :) s:)
No Roadster any more, Golf 7.5 GTi Performance

The reliability is down to the colour I guess.......

I figured that went without saying.
It does need to be a COLOUR though, not some sparkly primer.  s;-) ;-) s;-)

It would seem that this thread is going too fast for a mk2  s:wink:  s:wink:

Nope if his turbo is too laggy thats his problem.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Miles are climbing higher than I'd like.
It least they are in a nice order.  s;-) ;-) s;-)

Soooooooo sad that you noticed this.
But i like it all the same.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

It is sad, yes, I'll admit that.

Mark knows where it's at though.  s;-) ;-) s;-)   s;-) ;-) s;-)
I reckon the population on here that are not OCD, would be easier to measure. Just sayin'

Lovely looking 2 stu. Got a bit of a soft spot for the yellow ones as recently cleaned up a neighbours inport mrs
Btw this us what yours would look like if you wanted to know how a yellow hard top would look.

Just bought some headlight cleaner like the one you used but can advise which product you used to uv protect them?

There was a yellow with hardtop for sale when I was looking for banana. There is something that doesn't sit right with me with respect to the body coloured hardtop. Not been able to put my finger on it though.  s:lol:  s:lol:

For the headlamps I used armour uv sealant.

Banana went in for rear pads and discs (pagid). She had one seized caliper and one sticky one. So replaced both whilst it was all apart. Also had the fluid changed too as it has been over 2 years.

Indeed it does.  s:-D :-D s:-D

Just been out to the garage to do some jobs and realised that I don't have space for the hardtop.  s:-( :-( s:-(

Love that colour. I think both versions look great, yellow and black roof vs yellow and yellow roof. Yellow with black roof with A pillars painted in black would potentially look really good. I actually fancy painting my windscreen surround in black now (when I say I, really mean a reputable body shop). In fact it would be better to have it wrapped in black as getting it painted properly would require the windscreen being removed (I hate bodge paint jobs) and wrap would be easy to remove.

Thanks for the idea and love that colour.

Feelin the yellow love. Backatcha!!  s:-D :-D s:-D

There are a few on here with painted windscreen surrounds.

Have you sufficient height in your garage to suspend your hardtop from the ceiling?

StuC

#122
Sufficient height... Yes.
Sufficient junk in rafters... Also, yes.  s:-( :-( s:-(

I have a hardtop stand too. Which is currently occupied by 8 outdoor wooden chairs.  s:-( :-( s:-(
