I'm interested. I can't stand the fisherprice unit.
If you could put some photos up that'd be great.

OK, give me a day or 2 to get up in the loft...
The Sun is out, the sky is blue,
The roof is down on my MR2,
And I\'m grinning, grinning ear to ear!

Okay, finally got up into the loft. Here are the pictures:

And the bit for playing your MP3's through:

It basically fools the HU into thinking your MP3 player is a Multi-Disc changer. Everything is there, apart from the side brackets. I'm not sure about the wiring on the Fisher Price unit, but the original harness cables are there as well. Some of the wires have been cut and re-soldered, when I was trying to work out what was going on with my arial a while back.
Postage is about £6.00 if I use Hermes. So it would be £26.00 altogether. The original surround and cover are there as well.

I'll need to have a think on this as I've just put dibs on something in the for sale section on impulse and need to figure out how I'm going to fund everything.
Thanks for the pics, I'll let you know if I'm able to throw some money on this ICE project of mine...

No worries, I'll leave it all boxed up. PM me if you want it.

Have you still got the stereo aux box for sale?

Just bought a 2001 mr2 and need something to get the stereo playing mp3's. It's the same head unit as the one in your pictures

cost me £12 for a cable on ebay that goes into the MD connector and came with a phono to jack plug cable for the mp3 player.

rogue: Can it be used also for the fl unit? If not is there any solution which works?

From past posts it seems people have just gone for new headunits but...

Did anyone find a simple way to connect iPods to the standard facelift stereo? I'm wanting to keep the standard look and on my past roadster (pre FL) a connects2 cable worked well but not sure it does for the FL(?)
