Yes it's great, few niggles but used them to get the price down a bit. Got a noisy timing chain tensioner which I'm sorting this week and done a few other bits and pieces today.

Feels more refined than a roadster and the engine and gearbox is excellent. Electric roof also a pleasant change. Do prefer the roadsters looks though from most angles if I'm honest.

 Main reason for purchase is our European trip next month, decided I had to have a convertible to take and wanted something that should be reliable.

Excellent choice for a new convertible. They're nice cars, s2ks.
190whp/143wtq & 12.7s 1/4 mile- naturally aspirated on r888s.

New seats. So comfy but a touch low maybe.





Also front brace although not the neatest job on cutting the plastics.

So I got totally messed about on the exhaust again. Turned up on the day of the appointment for fitting with the missus in her car to give me a lift home and they didn't turn up or have the courtesy to call me later. Stuck a negative comment on their Facebook page and they deleted it immediately. Avoid RNR Autosport at all costs.

This put the MR2 back to the back of the drive and lost interest again. Even contemplated selling it as people on Facebook will have seen.

Bought this unseen and promptly sold it when I saw the bodywork. Fitted the polybushes off it to my decent car and had the geo done.



But the bullet and changed the handbrake cables. Fiddly to say the least as someone had ran the chargecooler pipes under the fuel tank.



Hadn't driven it since until I decided to take it for a drive yesterday. Seats were lovely and mouldy but was nice to stay dry as the S2000 roof leaks like a sieve.

So I'm at the point of not knowing what to do next. Have had 5 different exhaust "specialists" mess me about now and I'm fed up of driving it round for quotes. Think I'm going to have to dig deep and try and find someone with a really good reputation.

Ps any ideas how to get this moved to readers rides?

Glad to see you sticking at it lee,

As an idea have you thought about getting a tig welder and doing it yourself? In all honesty someone with your eye to detail I doubt the finished article would be much off of perfect.

It's the right choice keeping it after all the hard work. Once the exhaust is done you will be happy.

I've tried mig welding and I know my limitations. Don't have the patience or technique. Anything except paint or welding I can do.

Now booked in at JP exhausts in Macclesfield for the 29th January. Bit more expensive but just need it done otherwise I'll have missed another years drag racing before I know about it. Going for a 3" system so I will never need to replace should I want more power. Just hope it's not ridiculously loud.

Expensive week next week as off to Swansea for a new roof on the S2000 too   s:bounce: :bounce: s:bounce:

They used to make the exhausts for Millets in Manchester for their Corvettes and the work was good. Worth paying extra for a good job.
